I brought a few out of town friends and by the time we were seated our original reservation for 4 people had expanded to 10. They kindly and swiftly accommodated this change patiently answering our questions and taking our order. The food was absolutely delicious and bountiful and beautiful. We were able to sit for a long leisurely visit. We all had an excellent experience.
Mutton curry was pure grease soup with non-existent pieces of meat, parrotta was worse than the frozen parrota you get from a grocery store.

Barely any difference between veg meal and fish meal. Only one curry is different. Why charge extra 7$ for that? Fish in the curry was so stale. Also they charge 18% gratuity for party of 4 which is ridiculous. They didnât even serve us water until we asked for it. They are charging very high prices and the quality doesnât match. Please skip this restaurant, there are better Indian restaurants out there.
Doesnât matter whether you order fish, chicken, mutton, or vegetarian â youâll end up with the same vegetarian meal and a half cup of curry that supposedly makes it âdifferent.â Apparently, changing the sauce is their idea of variety.
And if thatâs not enough, theyâll slap you with an automatic 18% gratuity, even if only 3 out of 4 people get served â and the fourth one is fasting and doesnât even touch a sip of water. Classy move.
If youâre looking to pay premium prices for average food, missing service, and a creativity level that begins and ends with âadd curry,â this is your spot. Otherwise, save your money and your appetite.

My first curry in New York found me here as this was rated highly by reviews.
I asked for Indian hot, it was below average, more medium, definitely not Indian hot.
Coconut curry with chicken. Not bad, not great. A bit watery and bland, needed more seasoning.
Onion pakodas, were disappointing. All batter and little onion.
I am critical because I have high standards with curryâs. Perhaps this is considered good in New York. Wouldnât last long in Brick lane, thatâs for certain.
Service was good and the naan bread fine !

The Egg Biryani was absolutely delicious! The rice was perfectly cooked. The boiled eggs were well-marinated and flavorful, and the masala blended beautifully with the basmati rice.
