On a Positive Note: The Martins potato bread was good and the hot dog was just ok.My Apple Pay receipt says “Little Evas.” I hope this is the right place. I visited Governor’s Island today, March 30, 2024 and decided on a hot dog, as the line was the shortest. The woman on the grill was RUDE! I observed her yell to a confused person, “I’m busy, ask a tour guy.”?♀️ The poor guy standing behind her, assigned to place the prepackaged Mac and cheese into a crock pot, appeared to me to be be too afraid to speak to her. My friend attempted to ask another woman (who distributed the orders/called out numbers) to make her hot dogs well done and was greeted when a similar lack of customer service. I was just happy we were standing closing enough to observe our food being prepared. My free advise: If you can’t stand the heat, get off the grill!A Daily Diner

Came here visiting Governor's Island with my long term partner who amazingly planned this day-trip for us. We loved the ambience at Little Eva's and enjoyed sitting outside in the sun. To eat we got the mac and cheese and an oat milk iced coffee. Wonderful day!

Over priced, soggy / dry fries, poor coffee and bitter service. The seating is the best part.

This is surprisingly great food for a concession stand!! On Governor's Island. Fresh and we'll prepared. Chili had plenty of cumin, flavorful. Loaded fries were nicely proportioned with cheese, gravy, pulled pork. Hot chocolate was stacked with marshmallows, toasted with a torch. Outdoor seating only.

Had the fish n chips and the chicken fingers. Both were super crispy and well seasoned. Even on a super cold winter's day they were steaming hot. Usually the fish in fish and chips comes as one huge piece of beer battered fish and by the time you get to the end of it... It's soggy and cold. So I do really appreciate that Eva's serves you almost fish finger style fish n chips with a generous amount of tartar sauce. The only reason I docked a star is the chips were just okay and they served an insane amount of it... Most of the people, including me, ended up throwing at least a quarter of their chips in the trash. Wasting food really gets to me... So I hope they do a better job with their portions in the future.Oh and yes it is overpriced... the food we had was good but not worth the price. But since they're the only joint on the island you really don't have much of a choice. Unless you bring a picnic with you to Governor's Island... Which is exactly what I plan on doing next time.

I paid $20ish dollars for fish and chips and a water. The fish was good but kinda gummy and a weird texture a times. The French fries weren’t fried hard enough and were soggy.

The food was OK, but expensive for what it is. The lady taking orders was more interested in talking to her friends than working. She talked to the people in front of me for about 10 minutes, just chit chatting.

CLOSED. I showed up at 4:30 pm yesterday, Wednesday, and they were completely closed even though they are listed to be open until 5pm.This, being one of the only "restaurants" on the island, was a bit annoying to find that it was closed already.
Food is really not great, it’s expensive for what you get (which is terrible food).

Went here recently on a Thursday afternoon. The food and drinks are pretty pricey and there was garbage all over the ground in the seating area. It wasn't a windy day either so not sure why there was garbage all over the place.

Great food & drink options for our group
