We've been going to vespa for over a year now since moving to Manorville. They have some of the best pizza in the area WHEN the undercarriage isnt burnt, which is very rare. When I complain they do better, but if I dont, always burnt. Its a shame because everything else is great. FIX YOUR PIZZA ISSUE!

Went to a local farm with my family and friends. Decided we would try to find pizza for the kids (5 under 5yo). Us adults could enjoy a nice meal before heading back home from a long day. Well after googling “best pizza near me” came back with several restaurants but we decided La Vespa seemed like the place to go. Well I must say “hidden gem” is right on the money. It’s tucked away in a small string of stores, but the minute you walk in you are transported somewhere completely different. Clean, friendly and inviting. A string of families and people were coming in and enjoy a nice Saturday night dinner. All ages and size groups. The kids loved their food, and easier said than done since at this age most kids can be SUPER picky. As for the adults we all had meals. They serve Italian bread and garlic nots for the table, there was a homemade sun-dried tomato butter which was delicious. In our party there was the tomato mozzarella and these were huge slices abut beautifully presented. The soups were outstanding. My wife ordered the chicken piccata (her favorite) grilled with GF pasta so she was super happy and ate every piece. I had the spaghetti and meatballs. The sauce was delicious and the meatballs were the larger than the size of my fist. Portions were generous and everything was delicious. They were fast and friendly. I would say this if we lived closer I would come more often. For locals you will not be disappointed.

La Vespa Pizza is truly a hidden gem in Shirley. I’ve ordered from them twice, and the quality has been excellent each time. The crust is perfect, and the ingredients are fresh and generously portioned. On one occasion, I went in for pickup and was pleasantly surprised—the restaurant is beautifully decorated with a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it a great spot for a casual date. Their pizza comes highly recommended!

This place is great. I remember it when it was Jaymies (half of it anyway), and it's still a solid performer.

The shrimp parmesan was like I used to have when I was little. The bread right out of the oven. Carrie, our waitress wonderful, and the atmosphere utterly charming.

Very nice place and service. Definitely recommend for a slice of pizza or a proper lunch/dinner.
I had a cannoli and it could have been more fresh but the pizza and dinner outweighs it.

Great food and really cool atmosphere inspired by the Rialto Bridge in Venice, Italy. Service was fast, but the order got switched up and we received the wrong slices. The servers promptly fixed the issue and all was fine! Definitely recommend!

I happened to drive by this place and saw the $5.99 special 2 slices with soda🙏🌟, can't beat that price specially when I'm coming from 👑 Queens, where the pizza is well known to taste like salty fish and the soda water down 👎mud water🤣😅
Anyways the slices at this place is very good everything appears and taste fresh, I was very hungry so I stop by and was surprised as you walk in at the decor, very beautiful, well made artistic 🖌️🖌️📽️I felt like I was in Italy🇮🇹, anyways very clean environment family friendly, Great customer service they are bilingual maybe some Long Island accent 😁,
I really enjoyed eating my lunch special 🤔and I did fill very special plus in didn't break the bank.
I got more then expect Quality, Beautiful Decor and Reasonable price.🙏🤫😁
But if you're going to dine, prices are what you expect from a very nice restaurant.
The only thing is Try to put a Luigi or Mario with several Italian 🇮🇹and American 🇺🇸 flag so the Public know the place🤔outside or near the main road, it is tuck in the woods.
This is my first time out here in the neck of the woods drive all the way from Queens.
I'll definitely will come with my family next time and try out there menu.
Great place, Great staff, very good food.

What can I say other than I was blown away I was expecting small pizzeria style food and instead was taken aback to my roots. I had the Chicken Marsala pizza, the Calamari and Grandma pie to go. The food was on another level that I can’t compare to other places in NY including NYC. The atmosphere was revitalizing and past that of a normal restaurant and would almost rather say this should be a fine dining establishment. The service was like I was right at home every person greeted with a smile and encouraged food choices. The server (Carie/Carey) blew me away with hospitality she could run marketing for this place with her smile. Happy I stopped here and not some random chain it brought me back to a simpler time.
