One of my favorite places but the prices have skyrocketed since the reopening.

Easter Brunch was booked for 11:30 seating. We arrived at 11:35 and were seated in the bar area. I'm not sure since the dining room was empty. We were then informed that they were not ready. We were offered coffee while we waited. Food was not put out until 12 noon. It was also freezing inside so I assume they didn't time their guests arrival and opened the restaurant at 11:30. We didn't mind the wait for food but at the same time we rushed to get there on time. Perhaps change the start time next year. The food was good and clearly home made. The selections changed as they were replenished with new items. It was a pleasant Easter brunch and if we were in the area again I would go back.

Terrible experience, from being scolded on arrival as we were late (fair enough), big deal made of finding us a table even though they had openings. After waiting over an hour for awful food, I wished they had turned us away. Wait staff were sweet and clearly overworked. Every table around us was waiting a long time for food. We were offered vouchers for complementary entrees but you’d have to pay me to come back. One to avoid.

We went there at 6. We didn’t get any food till 730. When the food came it was really bad. Cold and undercooked or overcooked. It wasn’t worth the time or money. They pretended to talk to the manager but the manager never came to talk to us. I wouldn’t recommend it esp as there are other better restaurants to spend your time and money on. Go somewhere else

Very nice atmosphere. Service was super friendly and pleasant if slow. Food was ok, but I really recommend the French onion soup, and their mulled cider is really nice too. Sadly the chili I was hoping for turned out to be a special:'(

Ordered the tavern chicken sandwich, the chicken was completely raw, ordered 2 medium burgers one came out raw, and the veggie burger had parchment paper in it as well. Service wasn’t much better than the food, no water refills. We did have to talk to them a few times to get our bill comp’

We got to the Binnekill Tavern a little late on a Friday night (late up here is 8:15 pm) but the restaurant was pretty full and the waitstaff sat us down quickly and got us some drinks from the bar.We never felt rushed, Sandra was wonderful with the service and the food was very good. The kids said fries specifically were on point. Our kids both loved the house burger and my wife had a wonderful schnitzel while I enjoyed the chicken sandwich. It’s great to find a restaurant that you can comfortably go to each weekend for good food if need be. I can only imagine how nice this place is during the summer when we can eat outside. Also, this restaurant is built OVER a creek. So it’s very unique (or atleast I thought so)We will definitely be going back.

Probably the worst service I’ve had in a very long time. We arrived with 8 people (4 adults and 4 kids) at 6pm. We just left at 8:20pm. Took agonizingly long to receive drinks because “bar was slammed”, and even longer for the food to come out. And of course when we asked how much longer for the food, it then came out immediately. The kids’ hamburgers were completely charred on the outside and undercooked inside. The waitress did not check in after the food was served and we had to ask for waters (multiple times) to be refilled. The table was not cleared as we sat and waited for the check - which we had to ask for after sitting with empty plates for over 20 minutes! Please imagine 4 kids under 8 in this scenario. Best part was that gratuity was included ?

I realize that is was a Saturday night, but the service was so slow, 2 servers for the entire restaurant = sitting for 20 minutes before even being approached for a drink order, slow from that point on all evening. Food was ok, but not what we were expecting, or what we have had in past visits. The strip steak was definitely tough and overcooked. Not something I'd return for. The evening wasn't a bust, but it definitely could have been better.

This is a decent tavern, but the main drawback is the prices do not align with the quality of the food. The food was just fine, our roasted Brussels sprouts were a bit dry and overcooked and the salmon was overdone as well. The potted shrimp dish was excellent. Service was friendly and attentive even when busy and good ambience. This is somewhere to stop if you're in the area but I wouldn't go out of the way too far.

The food was awful. I had been there a couple of other times and everything was really good. It wasn't hot and tasted old. It took forever to get the food. The drinks were tasty though.
