Stoutridge Distillery and Winery

Love this place ....their Gin and Whiskey are great and it is a beautiful property!

Very informative tour around the wine and distillery. Pride, care and love for what they do describes what I felt about the owners. Great tasting and amazing customer service.

The estate is quite pretty, with a very large, clean, and well maintained central tasting room and distillery. There is an incredible amount of liquor to taste, with a particular specialty of traditionally distilled absinthe (award winning; highly recommend). The host was very helpful and knowledgeable about all aspects of the distillation process. We left feeling like we received a free history lesson. We were also given a quick tour of the facility, which was very kind. We spent a little over an hour on location, but we easily could have spent longer.

Prices were reasonable, both for the tastings and the bottles. There were multiple sized bottles, and a huge range of options. Both of the owners were very kind, patient, and accommodating of an exchange after the fact. We did not sample the wine, but will next time.

Outside there are seats and tables, with shade, for tastings, as well as some picnic tables down by the lake. We came in early June, so it wasn't too hot. There was plentiful AC and seating indoors as well.

Owners were very informative, friendly, and enthusiastic with explaining the natural process of making wine and spirits. We got a personal tour and were educated on their buisness. They are very passionate about what they do. Exceptional business.

Great visit. A "Craft Winery" is fitting here. Next time I'll bring some cheese sit on the porch and enjoy a beautiful view. Steve gave us a detailed capsule of his wine making "natural process" and it's place in history. Kim and Bear(cat) kept us entertained in between. The wine and spirit sampling was an education along with an interesting tour. Learned so much. The wine was unique and understanding why was well worth the time. Learning the history of "absinthe" was fun and.....none of us went blind after enjoying it. LOL. Thank you for an enjoyable time!!

During an aimless upstate NY drive today my friend and I stumbled upon this winery and on a whim went for a quick wine tasting. That was our intention at least, what we experienced today was nothing short of spectacular. Very unique wines that opened my eyes and my palate to what really old school winemaking can look like. Steve is very well educated and extremely passionate about wine/spirits and makes no apologies for it. He is a joy to listen to and I wish we could’ve stayed twice as long to taste more things and enjoy his company. I’m going to be returning with a larger group in the near future and can’t wait to share this experience. Steve and Kim you rock!

Nice place. Limited selection of wines but good ones. They were distinctively fruity.

My husband and I visited for the first time and had an amazing experience! Steve is so passionate about his work and they took the time to educate us about their products and answer all our questions. We’ll be visiting again and recommend for a fun afternoon!

Wonderful morning spent with my beautiful yoga community here yesterday. Owners very knowledgeable, very welcoming and accomodating. Learned alot yesterday.

Steve was a great guide. Very knowledgeable and enjoyable to listen to. Very out of the box “winery” with a great variety of liquor to taste and choose from. Very unique. Beautiful setting. Kim and Steve are very welcoming!

I organized a special event absinthe tasting and chakra class for my yoga studio at the distillery. Kim and Steve were both wonderful! We had a terrific time! The absinthe was delicious, the class was so informative and the barrel room is beautiful!! We can not wait to go back!

My husband and I came in for a spirit tasting on a Friday night and what a treat! It was fairly empty so we were able to get some very knowledgeable explanations of the spirits we were trying. I’ve done plenty of wine tasting but this was the first place I could try a variety of spirits and everything I tried was interesting and layered with fantastic flavor. They were nothing like I tasted before, and we brought three bottles home with us. I would absolutely recommend a stop here!

PROS- beautiful scenery- very clean and well kept- an abundance of parking- very affordable and well priced- high interest in explaining their historyCONS- very small portions for wine tasting- the owner is a little arrogant and thinks very highly of his wine despite your personal taste and he make its very clear about that. He apologized for coming off rude but still, it was rude- stated 5 times they will stop serving at 5:00pm and YOU WILL leave at 6 when the staff leaves-defenitely by far the weirdest tasting wines we've had. Almost like oils for an oil diffuserOVERALL- the property is stunningly beautiful but we will happily not attend this winery again due to the rude service
