Bacaro Italian Tavern

Lobster night. We waited just about two hours to be served our dinner. Waitress seemed very concerned with our extended wait. Something about a supply truck was late with the delivery. The manager seemed concerned with our wait time. He offered us an appetizer - we didn’t want an appetizer.
The check came - full price. And we had to wait around, a delay, to pay the bill. A full price bill.
Extremely dissatisfied with the way this situation was handled.

I’ve been back, since we love the restaurant and we love lobster, and I’ve changed my review to 5 stars. We have been in to Bacaros about eight times since my first review and have had no issues like what I wrote about in the first review. The wait staff is great, the atmosphere is good, the Lobster Bake is phenomenal. When it ends for the season I will be sad. I’ve probably ordered it 10 times in total. Very happy with the way it is cooked and how it is served. The sauce is delish. I love the extras that come with it….shrimp, clams, mussels, corn and pasta!!!! So good. Sorry for the initial 1 star review above, just hit you on a bad day. And everybody is entitled to a bad day. I’m hoping you bring the Lobster Bake back, thanks.

Had such a delicious meal last night, I forgot about this place! Food is great, everyone is friendly , portions are huge and better yet, not a sloppy mess like some Italian restaurant dishes. You can see that TLC goes into each dish. Owner is so nice. Had a really great meal

All six of us were pleased with our meals and the Chianti. My dish, the Mediterranean Linguine, was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. No kidding, I’d take the trip from Manhattan to Massapequa Park any day of the week and order it over and over again. We were also so happy to be given a round table, with 6 people it is the only way to keep up an inclusive conversation. Praise to the chef and the staff, thank you!

We had a small gathering for my husband's 75th birthday last Sunday. Bacaro's has a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, our server and the service in general was gracious and accommodating (which is just as important as the food) and everyone thought (including my husband who was a sous chef for 28 years at the Waldorf Astoria in NYC) the food was plentiful, came out hot and was delicious. Thank you Bacaro!

What a wonderful experience.. first time here. Good was delicious, staff was pleasant and very helpful. Plenty of parking in the back lot, easy access to the restaurant. Nice variety of foods. Drinks were delicious.

Quite literally my favorite restaurant on long island. The exceptional food here is only exceeded by phenomenal service, especially by Andrew. We request him for every meal.

You cannot have a single bad piece of food here.

Went for dinner Monday night and was not expecting the crowd. Most were there for the lobster special. I had the short ribs and my husband had chicken francese! Both dishes were superb- we even had a visit from Chef TJ, who has always been so gracious and accmodating! Stop in at the park and say Mrs C sent you!😉
