Just want to let patrons know that happy hour at Bacarro has increased their prices. A couple of friends and myself went to happy hour last Friday March 8th and house Sauvignon Blanc was $8 a glass. Tonight with friends again, at happy hour, we ordered the same House Sauvignon Blanc and we were charged $14 a glass. Big difference. Buyer beware. And by the way we then had dinner and we paid $302. Dinners were excellent but that is the last time we will go there. Thank you Tom for listening to us!

Not sure why they take reservations. After making reservations and having them call me to verify we still waited over 40 minutes. Also I understand that friends can come in and you take care of them but don't do it in front of people waiting 40 minutes past their reservation time Food is always fine but not worth the wait.

We went for an early Sunday dinner after a rough week. The food was amazing but my biggest compliment goes to my waitress, Shannon. She was awesome. Kind, friendly, knew and did her job well and most importantly always had a million dollar smile on her face. She made the experience so much better and I'd like her to be commended for her awesome work. We will be back. I hope Shannon is working then. Thanks

I was very disappointed in my overall dining experience at Bacaro. Since I arrived a few minutes before my guests, I decided to take a look at the wine selections. It was sub-par at best with limited offerings. It was more typical of what you'd expect to find in a lower caliber Italian restaurant. I ordered what was probably the best red offering, "Educated Guess," priced at around $45. Surprised that our waiter, Owen, never even asked if we wanted to taste it before pouring out 3 glasses. That was my first inkling that the restaurant is over-rated. Looking past that, I was excited to try the Caesar salad and eggplant "meatballs" which so many fellow Yelpers raved about. The Caesar, while nicely presented, was drowning in dressing and lacked any taste even remotely to that of a true Caesar. At $18, it was a total ripoff. And who the heck puts Cucumbers in Caesar salad? Yes, you read that correctly, cucumbers in the Caesar. The eggplant "meatballs" were atrocious! It literally tasted like nothing more than bread rolled up into 4 1 inch balls, deep fried, and served over shredded zucchini with a light red sauce for $31. My guests were also disappointed in some of the other items we ordered. For example, the Lobster Baked Clams (with no clams) did NOT have any lobster. It was nothing more than breaded stuffing served in a clam shell with a nice lobster flavored sauce. One appetizer that was very good was the Calamari. It was perfectly cooked, very tender and served with 2 sauces. Marinara and a wasabi type sauce. Both very good. Unfortunately, it didn't make up for everything else. Dinner for 3 people with 1 bottle of $45 wine and 2 mules ran $275 before tip. To me, this place is way over rated and a total rip-off. I will not be going back!!

Love Bacaro's! The food is very good, my husband & I have never had a bad meal service is very good as well you have to try the baked clams stuffed with lobster!!.. they have a band on Saturday nights... it's a little crowded & not a lot of room especially if you want to sit at the bar it gets a little noisy so if you want a quiet dinner I suggest you go early but otherwise I highly recommend Bacaros!!

My husband and I went there to see our neighbor's band, Gotcha Covered. The food was delicious! The chopped salad and rigatoni ala vodka were spot on! Our waitress was friendly and great. We will be back!

Needs a facelift. Run down chairs and tables. Old decor. Food was ok. Not worth the $

Went there for dinner this evening. First the hours when you google them say they are closed on Mondays. They are open for business. Went there close to 8pm so there wasn't really to many people there which was good. Ordered my food, ordered a glass of wine and the server Sharon even came back a little while later and asked if I wanted another glass of wine. I said yes and ordered it. After that never saw her again until our food was already getting wrapped up and then I told her I never got my wine I ordered, she just said sorry and kept it going. She never even came during dinner to ask how everything was because she was to busy at the bar laughing and having a good time with the other staff. This was my first time there and not sure if I'll go back again. Service really needs to get better especially when the place is empty. On another note the chicken parm was pretty good, everything else gets a big thumbs down .

The atmosphere is a little bit of little Italy right here is Massapequa Park . The appetizers delicious , main course packed with flavor and large dish. I love the sangria and eggplant meatballs.

We had the Thai calamari, it was simply amazing and the surf and turf was out of this world. Amazing food and great service and TJ was super helpful.
