Just had the BEST experience at dark horse tavern in Massapequa! Our waitress Kathleen was truly amazing- best we’ve ever had. She was extremely attentive, super sweet & made our night out so much fun!
I came with some friends out of town to share some apps and drinks. Great spot to catch up! I had their espresso martini which was made to perfection (and I’m a hard critic with those). Everything was perfect! Highly recommend going & requesting Kathleen! She’ll make your dining seamless!

I love coming here on Tuesdays. Haley is behind the bar and she is always so entertaining and fun to talk to, not to mention attentive and making everyone laugh while making great drinks. Rockstar!

My husband and I have come to Dark Horse in Massapequa many times and have always had a great experience. The food is delicious and our usual server, Mike, is always a pleasure. However, we were extremely disappointed in our experience tonight. Our waitress, Ari A. forgot to order our appetizers so we never received them (which is fine, but she didn’t even apologize). She then proceeded to sit at the bar and watch tv and never checked on us, brought us water, or refilled our drinks. We were the only table in the restaurant and were completely neglected. The food was good, but we were extremely disappointed in our service and lack of care that we received.

We have visited the Dark Horse Tavern in Massapequa Park several times for dinner. The food is delicious. We have ordered many of their food items from appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, wings to desserts and it is always fresh and delicious. It has always been an amazing experience from food and drinks to the wait staff. We recently had our soon to be daughter-in-law’s bridal shower there and again they did not disappoint. We decided on a brunch shower which had a variety of food options and drinks to choose from. Victoria and Nicole worked so hard from the set-up, service and clean up and we really appreciate all their hard work. Highly recommend for lunch, dinner or any type of party. Thank you again!

My friends and I stopped on a Sat. afternoon to watch the SJU basketball game and get some lunch. I was greeted by a young man with a beard,(sorry I didn't get anyone's name),he was very welcoming,offering a selection of seats. We chose to set at the bar to watch the game, again wecwere greeted by an adorable bartender who was also very friendly and patient while we made out beer selections she also helped us with your lunch orders. The good was very good and plentyful.
We had a very enjoyable afternoon. And this might become.our town tavern.
Very enjoyable and welcoming tavern. Will be back
