I had reservations here for last night, for 7 people for my daughter's birthday, and arrived promptly, and our table was not ready. I had to search for a hostess. Then I had to search for the manager. We waited for at least a half an hour before we decided to leave. No one apologized for the wait. No one offered a complimentary drink or discount on a meal for the inconvenience. They just ignored us. No one followed us out to ask us to stay. They seemed relieved when we left. & I had a handicapped person in my party who had to stand the whole time too. & I called earlier in the week to confirm. & they called me earlier that day to confirm. One would think a reservation separates people from having to wait with others without a reservation. Put a card on the table & don't use it. I was told the party that reserved before us didn't leave yet & it would only be a few minutes. That's why you put a card on the table. I know it was a small place & very busy, but if that's the case, don't offer to make reservations for people. It really messed up our plans & put a damper on our evening & upset my daughter. I had to scramble to find another restaurant last minute. Luckily, I did, & enjoyed it. So not only did Umberto's lose my big check, they also lost my extra fat tip I gave the waitress at the other restaurant because she accommodated us so last minute. A shame. Great food at the Wantagh location, & I never had a problem there,, but very unprofessional at this location. Nothing lasts forever. Word of mouth goes both ways. I have a lot of friends on social media. There are plenty of wonderful Italian restaurants in our area. If you're not concerned about losing my business, I won't be concerned about not having you in my area anymore either. You'll see how it feels to be ignored too. Shame on you!

I have never felt more at home at a restaurant than I do at Umberto's of Massapequa, everyone that works there is so friendly and personable. The food is always great and I always recommend it to everyone. Mike is a great human being and is always so friendly to my son. You will not go wrong here.

Been an Umbertos customer for 45 years, beginning in New Hyde Park....Extremely rude & condescending counter man, won't go back to Massapequa restaurant, where I live!Wantagh store will continue to get my business, as well as others I know, where all the employees are eager to please and courteous!

What a shame. Great spot but food was lousy. Calamari was frozen bag of rings they sell at a restaurant Depot. Not one thing that we ordered tasted fresh. Beware two of us got bad stomach issues from this place. Never again
We love Umberto of Massapequa Park. The food is always excellent and always served hot. The staff is amazing always smiling and friendly. The manager is always visible and runs a very organized restaurant. Best place to eat in the Park.?

We usually order in from umbertos but tonight we dined in. The service was amazing. There were about 5 people circling about the table to make sure all was good. Unfortunately, it’s been tough to find good service a reason we do takeout often so it’s nice to find a pleasant casual dining experience where your glass of water gets refilled!!!! The staff were polite and friendly. Love love love a pizza place with a wonderful dining experience. Can’t wait to go back!

We went to Umberto's on Saturday for a birthday party. We had 2 long tables on the side. I have to say the food was delicious and the service was top notch. The wait staff was very attentive, quick, and kind.
