Jen's Chinese Food & Catering

I've been going to Jen's since we moved to Massapequa about 3 years ago. We moved from Queens and wanted to find a Chinese restaurant with the quality of what we were used to - we found Jen's! It's like our Queens chinese restaurant but even better since it's healthier! We love their Stir Fry (where you create your own dish!) and every now and again we indulge in the Fried Half Chicken - no chinese restaurant in long island even has this, if you know, you know - it's delicious! Also, their egg drop soup is incredible :-) Head over to Jen's if you are looking for delicious chinese food (and a plus if you a craving a fried half chicken!), you won't be disappointed!

This is my favorite Chinese food place on Long Island. It’s a bit more expensive than your standard Chinese food place but well worth it. They also offer a ridiculous amount of customization options which is awesome. I like getting things done in their ginger scallion garlic stir fry option for a lighter dish than the heavy sugary sauces. My friends and I agree that sometimes the egg rolls are a bit too well done. Try this place, you won’t be disappointed!

This place is disgusting I literally spit out my food and could not eat and threw the whole thing in the garbage Stay away from egg rolls too.They're disgusting!!!! I felt like they gave me 5 day old food Don't waste your time

Excellent food. Always tasty, well cooked, and not greasy. Restaurant is clean and service is always courteous. Food is served fast and warm.

Used to be our go to, but there menu seriously lacks options like most take out places. And there switch from running there own delivery to farming it out to Uber eats which I personally hate, has truly turned me off to this one time favorite restaurant

Jens used to be the best. Was our go to for the last 5 years. Had take out last night. Nothing was like it used to be. Sesame chicken was awful. Dry & tasteless. Hot & sour soup used to be so delicious. It was the worst I’ve ever had. Scallion pancakes were soggy. So sad. This happened several months ago too, but we were hoping things would be back to good again. They weren’t. Hey Jen’s! What’s going on???????

Literally the best to go chinese food on Long Island. We drive two towns away and pass many other options.I can only speak to the vegetarian options but my non - vegetarian kids love it too. Have never eaten inside the restaurant , they do have a number of tables.

I had fond memories of the food at Jen’s when I was living in N Massapequa. When I was in the area today, I decided to pick up dinner for old times sake. I was very disappointed to say the least. The chicken broccoli tasted just ok, but it was 2/3 broccoli and 1/3 chicken. The General Tso was better, but felt like it was also missing something that I couldn’t quite put my finger on. The scallion pancake dipping sauce tasted like regular soy sauce. The cold noodles in sesame sauce were borderline inedible. The sauce lacked any sesame flavor and was pure super salty soy flavor. Even the white rice had several undercooked grains in it somehow. Sad to say, I probably won’t be going back to Jen’s any time soon.

We had been coming to to Jen's for nearly a decade, originally interested in their healthier mogu menu. It was usually delicious but lately the quality of their food has gone down significantly. I say this only as feedback for the owner and this review is long overdue for the past few times we have ordered. The egg drop soup was just an oily mess that tasted off, the seasoning just isn't hitting the mark anymore for the farm not-so-fresh saute and anything else we've ordered just isn't what it used to be. Sad to say we will not be returning. Sorry guys :/

First time ordering from this place and will be my last. I ordered a Large Sweet and Sour Chicken and a Large Broccoli with Brown Sauce. The sweet and sour chicken looked like chicken nuggets, they were hard and disgusting. The broccoli was soggy and salty! After working a 16 hour shift you would think I can relax and enjoy a good meal. If I wasn’t so tired I could have made the sweet and sour chicken myself and it would be better than this crappy disgusting food. Long Island Chinese restaurants are the worst. You can never find a good restaurant out in Long Island maybe somewhere decent but this one is the worst one I’ve ever had! Queens has the best restaurants.

I've gotten food here a few times wand always loved Jens food I decided it was time I let everybody know but I'm reading the reviews and I'm shocked, but I wanna tell everybody JEN IS BACK!!! The food here has always been fresh and I cannot get any other Chinese food place to saute my string beans in ginger and garlic , it is my favorite and this is literally the only place I will get from Chinese food from, always fresh always FAST, and always Delicious!

Quality has sharply declined. Forced to use on line ordering. No more combinations after more than 30 years I'm going elsewhere. Very sad and disappointed.

Food is good but they messed up my order with the stupid stuff 3 times in a row and lost a lifetime customer who orders food in a lot. So stupid it’s scary. When I told them about the third time they forgot my homemade mustard they were un apologetic and offer me a tiny credit while I was eating my food and it was not what I preferred and effected the quality
Sorry three strikes and u act like no biggie. I’m done and I hope they don’t do this to all there loyal customers. Found a different place that I’m very happy with and will not be back. So stupid of them.
