Never been in a place like this. Truly a hidden gem. Came here for my birthday tonight and the owner not only served us, but gave us the full experience. The artwork all over the ceiling was stunning, the oddities around the place made for a goofy yet super fun environment, the owner was cracking jokes over the microphone etc etc.

The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered a slew of appetizers (highly recommend the dumplings and boom boom shrimp) and sadly we had to take the entrees home for leftovers because we spent more time chatting and mesmerized than ordering. That said once the entrees were ordered it took quite a while to come out and we were in a rush, so only downside was the length it took for the entrees. Owner even promised me birthday cake upon my return. Can't recommend enough!

Impressive menu and eclectic atmosphere. They have so many different items! Was so happy to see the inclusion of Filipino dishes as well as other culturally based foods, such as Spanakopita. Very friendly and welcoming staff. The food is delicious!!! Highly recommend! You won't be disappointed. We ordered vegetable lumpia, mushroom lechon, pinakbet, pork skewers, and for dessert, Halo Halo. They even made sure to accommodate dietary restrictions.

Completely stumbled on this place and honestly I was a little leery at first. The menu is more extensive than anything I’ve ever seen in my life, which is their goal, but makes ordering a little hard for an indecisive Gemini like me. Marco, the front man, recommended something, I ordered it and I was not disappointed. The hubs loved his app, meal and his drink just as much, and Marco has so much personality and self admittedly can talk your ear off, but in a good way (if ya like that sort of thing)

This place is different, in a good way!
When we first went in, we had no idea what to expect, but once you get used to the vibe, the table menus, the art, the colors and the great host, you will be hooked.

Had taken the kids out to the farms out east and happened to stop by this establishment serendipitously. I had been captured by the endless number of Asian food fusion options that had been advertised outside. Stopped by with the kids just to try it out and was met with who I assumed to be the owner of the restaurant. He was incredibly wonderful and his vibe was super welcoming and warm. Initially only wanted dessert and ended up ordering a bunch of food items to take home which were all amazing. Will definitely need to stop by and dine in next time! The kids loved the food which speaks volumes!!

Very rude. Too much yelling and screaming on the phone. No one cares

Pros: The service was great. The guy serving us was very pleasant.
The menu is huge with a lot of choices.

Cons: the prices were high. The food was so so.
Also no AC.

Genre? Unknown. Cuisine? Filipino, Mexican, Japanese, Italian, American fusion? Decor? Steampunk Dr. Seuss theater backstage. Of all the places that claim to be unique, Pooka actually is. Tucked off a tiny main street in Mattituck, the tiny eclectic (alien?) eatery is a worthy destination for foodies.

Stopped in almost by accident on our way through mattituck.
Already had dinner elsewhere and was looking for dessert.
Opened the door to another world when we entered. Amazing jazz quartet playing in the back. Marco himself doing his wonderful solo act out front. We had a wonderful filipino shaved ice dish that was plenty enough for the two of us. The decor, the friendliness, the menu- they all have me looking forward to returning soon.
You have to go yourself.

I came here with my sister to eat before a movie and we were impressed since the moment we walked in, the atmosphere, service, food, everything was so amazing. Our server was so nice to us and made us feel comfortable being there and even showed us how to use chopsticks! The food and drinks were also so amazing and it’s honestly such a nice place to go eat and hang out in
