The Cottage is a terrific casual spot to stop for lunch or dinner & live music. Great atmosphere, wonderful people, and always fun. Pro tip - get the Cincinnati chili with onions & cheese!

Got into town around 10:30pm on a Sunday in late July. Unfamiliar with the area, I called to find most kitchens closed. The young woman on the phone at Cottage, honestly let me know the kitchen was closed except fried apps would be available. I walked in and the bartender, Michaela, greeted me with such warm hospitality. I got the food that I wanted with some suggestions from her. I had a really good time, great conversation with Michaela, felt welcomed and left full.

I wish I had taken pics because the burger was very impressive. Next time I’m in the mood for a burger, I might just drive all the way out to Mendon.

We went for the Friday fish fry. Anne's fish was okay but it was served on parchment paper that laid on a cookie sheet. The parchment paper disintegrated with the moisture and
stuck to the fish. It was hard not to eat it. The volume on the music was cranked up. Therefore, the voices of the guests were extra loud. We tried to have a conversation but gave up. I had lamb chops with an unbelievably wonderful bourbon and black cherry glaze sauce.

Today I have tried my first Cottage Trash Plate and I would rate 8.5/10. If we don’t mention about the presentation of the food (accurate to the name), Cottage Trash Plate was an absolute joy. And ladies who are servers were very helpful, chill and pretty. I saved this place to my secret getaways.

Ron and I had their fish fry today. It is the best around...home town feel, friendly atmosphere. Definitely will return soon.

Top tier bar food. Fun rednecks. Drunk country clubbers. Great bartender personalities. No f's given vibe. Feels like home.
