Has to be by far one of my most disappointing meals. For $4 an empanada I was totally let down. They are so tiny and filled with mostly air. I really don’t think I’ll be going back there. Not really sure how they have stayed in business there. Especially considering the merrick standards. I’m sure they won’t be there for much longer. Better meal would have been a carvel Sunday ……. Less $ and more filling

When sent back the guy exclaimed "oh it was in the cooking a while well put it in the frier a bit longer" empanadas sit in baskets like bagels in a bakery. I came in with my daughter, one person ahead of me and the girl at the register was overwhelmed. Very sad to see. After seeing menu with the specials and not being informed of them we sat down...an empty restaurant and my daughter ruined her sweatshirt from grease on a table that was never cleaned... not sure if I would ever come back.

The empanadas were just ok in my opinion. The plus side of them was that they were less greasy than in other places. Service was not the greatest because after we ordered we realized there was a deal that the person at the register didn't offer. Prices for empanadas were not the best and it's definitely a comparison to Colombian spots I've been to. I made this comparison due to the fact that this cuisine is questionable. Puerto Rican cuisine doesn't include the items offered at this restaurant. While the decor shows Puerto Rico as its basis for the cuisine, I have to question the validity of the place. Churros is not a Puerto Rican, and the sofrito wasn't potent in the food. I'd say the food needs some work. For a quick bite sure, but if you're looking for the real deal this isn't it.

I don't know what dumb fools gave this place less than 5 stars. There's no reason to go anywhere else nearby. You can even have them premake a empanada for you additionally, you could go home and bake it or air fry it.

Maybe bad timing but the staff was a group of young guys goofing off talking about things that definitely are not appropriate for the work place. Ordered chicken fingers and fries. . $14 for BURNT BURNT chicken fingers. Legit took a bite and it hurt my tooth. Tasted like old
First they got the order TOTALLY WRONG!! No sauce like I ordered, left out one shrimp empanada & plantains were BURNT TO A CRISP !! Never Ever spend good money here !!!

Aside from the deliciousness, we loved the variety offered! You have your classics like beef and chicken, and traditional like pastelon and beef and cheese. Can’t wait to try others like chorizo and potato, Pernil and Cuban! Great option to add to our food choice rotation. Bonus, the staff is super sweet!!
