Hesitate to write as it's a very small place and we don't want it to get out that this place is FANTASTIC. Owner and his staff are so nice, the food is excellent, and the space is small and intimate. So happy to have this place in my town!

ok this is approx. my 4th time here. Returning to this place that much in a couple of months from Suffolk county should say a lot. The owner Lalo is so good. the whole atmosphere is amazing. Love it. we were recommended by friends to come here and now I'm doing the same. someone else here recommended reservations. That's a good tip if you're going to want a table during certain days , times.

Over all food was good, came out fast. Nachos were my favorite. Chimichanga was also good and flavorful. The veggie soft taco was ok. And churro was of course delish.

Will never be returning. We were waiting for a table for close to an hour and the table they told us was ours was then given to another customer. After that they didn't know when they would be able to seat us and “weren’t sure who let them sit there.” Nothing was done for us

I went to Margaritas Cafe, in Merrick, with a small group of friends for a birthday dinner. I had the Tacos Mexicano with shrimp that was served with rice refried beans. I found it all to be tasty, but I wish the shrimp was not so tough. They seemed overcooked. We shared a pitcher of red sangria, which was delicious. We also shared guacamole and empanadas for our appetizers. They were yummy. The service was top-notch. Our server was friendly and efficient. I will return to try other items.

Awful takeout experience. They placed 2 piping hot soups in plastic containers on top of each other in the bag, with no plastic wrap, allowing one to fall into the other which then spilled all over my car. The food is bland and extremely over priced for the small entree portions they give. I ordered chicken nachos and they were unbelievably pathetic. The soup had some flavor but no other ingredients, just tortilla chips on the side. I also had chicken enchiladas which were just ok. Happy to say I will never go back and from the look of things in there, others share the same sentiment. Sort it out, guys.

The Merrick location is small, but quaint and comfortable, the staff was extremely friendly and service was very good. The enchiladas were a little bland, but the black bean soup was excellent and the rice and refried beans made up for the blandness of the enchilada.

This is such a cute restaurant. Feels very homey and the attention was top notch. The food was delicious and so were the drinks. I’m glad I stumbled upon this restaurant as I am not local.

I do not recommend, they do not know what poblano mole is, nor pork adovo and 15 dollars for six tortillas, the package is worth 2.50, beggars, rats.
