Michael Anthony’s Cucina was beyond all of our expectations! My husband and are vegan (almost 15 years) and have had experiences from “ Here is a lettuce leaf and some carrots with vinegar and your pasta dish has some ketchup on it. That’ll be $100”. all the way to restaurants in places like Washington DC and San Diego, where we were blown away. At Michael Anthony, we were met by Ian Mason, who proceeded to explain to us exactly what we could expect and tell us how glad he was to be taking care of vegans. He put so much time and thought into what we liked. We felt like the only people in the restaurant! Our server, Susanna was also amazing and very attentive. The three course meal that the chef prepared for us was nothing short of spectacular. Everything about this experience was top-notch from the appetizers to the pasta course all the way through the main dish of grilled eggplant with a Chanterelle risotto (the chef had gone out, foraging for the mushrooms that morning!!) … Which was out of this world!!! through the obviously homemade sorbet, this restaurant is at the top of my list of experiences as a vegan. We will definitely be back anytime we are in this so I can put it the area.

The food was middle of the road, nothing to write home about. But this place is awful. My brother and I went here to get pizza and when we sat inside it was a quite as the grave. People at the counter seemed to not even like us being there. And no music, no talking between the 3 employees (who might honestly hate each other) and no noise at all in the shop. My brother and I were so genuinely uncomfortable that we got to go boxes halfway through the meal and ate in my car listing to Taylor Swift on the radio.

My wife called to see if they had artichoke and spinach slice. He told her no but he’d make a pie for her to have a slice. Slice about $6. He said come in 20 minutes. I showed up exactly 20 minutes later and he never made the pie. He had no reason for not making it. The slices he had were all old and disgusting looking. Go to Galleria Pizza on Merrick Ave. Always great pizza

New ownership screwed this place. Was better back in the day. Guy who runs it now has an accent thicker than stale riggot. My advice? Find an authentic italian restaurant.

Disgusting employees, for starters a pizza place that’s not Italian is the first mistake. A delivery driver delivered my food elsewhere then picked it back up and bought it to me cold and my soda and garlic knots weren’t included. I had to wait til the next morning to call and they are just so nasty ! A Hispanic man w a heavy accent said “the boss don’t wanna refund I’ll bring you more pizza in 1 hour bye” and hung up. 3 hours later I went up there and asked for my refund and got some girl w some attitude talking about “we called you last night” only the cashier speaks English and I wasn’t leaving until I got my money. They kept tryna refer me to my bank when they the one who messed up! When I asked for the boss myself the boss gave up because she didn’t wanna talk and said give me my money back ! This is disgusting service and they need to be shut down.

0.5 went in to check the place out ordered two plane pizzas. The pizza was horrendous paper thin. The cheese was poor quality and just was hanging onto the pizza for dear life. Now moving onto the sauce, horrible texture left a metallic taste in my mouth as if it were out of a can. Overall horrible pizza and pice point was also high for such a sad slice I usually love pizza but today it’s a pass.

Absolutely horrible service. would not recommend it. ordered some food. was told it out be about 30 minutes. this place is only 5 minutes away from my house. long story short, i received my order 2 hrs later, cold. only reason we accepted the delivery is because my wife was starving. had to heat the pizza in our oven.

Their pizza is ok but their baked ziti was terrible.Sauce and cheese both tasted spoiled.Calzone was another disaster, undercooked, mostly putrid ricotta cheese.
