Off The Brook | Bistro & Cocktails

Haven't been there in a long time but was pleasantly supportive at the new menu. It wasn't anything particularly unique however it was very good and definitely a new local spot for a nice easy night out that isn't “italian”. We had fish and it was delicious. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Definitely hoping people will give the new menu a try.

We went to try out a new brunch experience. We got there a little after 11 AM and it was not crowded at all. I loved the mimosa flight and my husband had a caramel apple martini. Both of our dishes, the French toast and the omelette were good.

Mediocre food. Not great quality. Servers were very nice and attentive, however the food was not worth the price.

Pleasant surprise. The food and cocktail were good. Perhaps a little understaffed, but they made it work with a smile - we were not in a rush. Will return for casual evening with friends.

We originally made a reservation for 2 people but then changed it to six on open table. Everything was confirmed but when we got there they told us they didn't receive the change and we had to leave by 8pm. That was fine but they didn't have enough staff. Only 2 waiters I think. They described the appetizers as being enough to share but the calamari was so small we each got 1 piece. My food did not arrive with the rest of the table and only when they asked how everything was, the looked puzzled why I didn't have my plate. The balsamic fig chicken was horrible. I tasted no fig and was so tart I had to scrap off the sauce. I couldn't even tell what cut of the chicken it was. We had to ask where our second round of drinks were. They automatically charged 20% for a table of 6 and the service was terrible. If they didn't have staff for a busy Saturday, don't confirm reservation on open table. We won't be returning.

We went to Off the Brook for Easter brunch. Our cocktails (one was made with pancake and syrup whiskey?) were creative and delicious. The food was fresh and delicious. There was a $1.50 up-charge per egg, but that's clearly indicated on the menu.

Servers were friendly but had no sense of urgency and took forever to get anything we asked for which was very frustrating. Food was mediocre but Gnocchi was not edible. They should have took it off the check. The best thing about the night was the live music. Will not be back. Place needs management there on a Saturday night.

Shame on You! Buyer Beware.

Off the Brook does not adhere to this law passed February 2024!

A law that took effect Sunday requires restaurants to either set one price on menus and menu boards, with a processing fee already factored into the stated charges, or to present two prices, one for paying cash and the other for paying with a credit or charge card. The information must be provided to customers before they order rather than presented to them when they pay.

Nice little hidden gem along Merrick Ave. The food was very good and the wait staff was nice but they seemed a little understaffed for a Saturday night. It took a long time to get service but when they did show up they were friendly! I'd def go back for another time

We went to Off the Brook for my Daughter-in-law's birthday. We were very impressed with the food and our server Jackie. Jackie was very nice and attentive. I was impressed that Jackie was able to substitute the side dishes that came with the mains to meet our dietary restrictions. We are looking forward to going again.

Only one waitress so service was slow, waited 30 min to get a drink and menu after sitting. Food was just ok, nothing great

Nice and friendly place! Would recommend attending with the family for a quick bite or catching up with friends.

Came to watch my friend perform acoustic guitar Saturday night. Thanks for having him! Restaurant is a cute little cozy spot! First time here and we enjoyed our food. It tasted great. Enjoyed the wine flight too. The wait staff was friendly where we sat by the bar.

We had a very nice dinner with live music We shared the mussels, gnocchi and stuffed pepper appetizers. They all were outstanding! My burger was cooked perfectly as was the steak tidbits my friend had. The hostess was very warm and friendly and Jacki our waitress was outstanding and delivered everything promptly with a smile! We hade a great time here!

T was our server for Dwana 55th Birthday, the entire team was phenomenal.
