I’ve been going here for over 20 years since I was a kid. It was the first time I had ever tried sushi and I haven’t found one place that beats their quality and service. It’s a hidden gem that more people need to know about. Godzilla and Kimmy are some of my favorites. Always a hard decision because everything is delicious.

Ok-this is by far the best sushi in Merrick. Absolutely incredible. We ordered salmon hand rolls, yellow tail rolls and mackerel hand rolls. It was incredible. I'm not sure what to say. It was the best I've ever had. Only disappointment is that I want to keep ordering more and more. The best. Wow!

Went in at 8:50 on a Wednesday night. Kids had a concert at school and we're getting Ralph's. I wanted real food. I saw they closed at 9. I asked if they were closed. I said, "You can say yes." They said, "No, we're not closed. Please give us your order." We had peanut avocado and cucumber avocado rolls. They were super fresh and delicious. The wasabi was silky smooth. Thank you for feeding us at this late hour!

Been going here for years!! Always amazing quality sushi!! Highly recommend they have a large variety of sushi options to choose from. Food always made on time and customer service is amazing! Friendly staff!! This sushi restaurant also provides Fast delivery services as well.
By far the best sushi on the south shore. I have been ordering from Shinsena for over 6 years now and it has been consistently delicious !

My family and I have been coming here for over ten years now, this is a staple spot of ours as the food is consistently delicious and well made. The owners are lovely people and I can't recommend this place highly enough. Fair prices for large portions which isn't seen too often with Japanese restaurants. The out of control roll is amazing as well as the mushroom soup.

There are many sushi places here but this is the best sushi place between Merrick & Bellmore. The food is excellent and the staff is so nice. The food is always fresh. Avoid a place in Merrick named Sango and go to Shinsena instead! I do wish they would serve their lunch specials earlier in the day on Saturdays though. Thank you.
