My daughter and her family eat in this restaurant often. I’m her mother and this is the second time I went with them. I found the place so annoying coz every now and then , they’ll pass and try to put away some of the plates. For me it seems they are rushing us to finish our food. I don’t think I would want to eat again here coz there are so many Resto around Merrick

This place is infested with mice poop stay away from this establishment. Look at picture below Found mice poop on the top of my soda can. The health department needs to be informed, and this place needs to be shut down.

This is our go to for sushi, tempura and udon and take out almost weekly. It’s typically very good but made the mistake of trying the Taka Salad for $15.00 (Seaweed salad, red clam, squid, kani and masago). It was mostly seaweed very little fish and very small portion. I called to see what was up because something was wrong but was told that it’s right size. This is basically a side salad not a meal sized salad and not worth $15. The sushi for two with 2 speciality rolls is a good deal just don’t be fooled by the “white” tuna, there is no such thing. It’s a cheap fish aka oil fish that is being passed off as tuna and banned in certain countries.

When Taka first opened up here I was upset because I loved the previous establishment, Jade Dynasty. However, Taka delivers in quality of food. Their salmon sushi rolls are very high quality and the atmosphere of the restaurant is fantastic, I can tell they put a lot of work into the buildout. Would highly recommend dining in here on a Friday night.

Always such a hit and absolutely love that they take my gluten allergy (celiac) very seriously!Whenever I'm craving sushi for dinner (more often than not), I don't even question whether the >20 minute drive is worth it. I always get the TRIO SUSHI (replacing the tuna roll with a spicy salmon roll).Highly recommend.
Taka is amazing. Dine in or take out, lunch or dinner. The sushi is fresh. Service is great. It's my 'go to' spot

I came here for Happy Hour and simply loved the atmosphere, music, food and excellent service! The only place where I had the BEST Calamari! Spicy Rock Shirmp and Mai Tai was also good. I will come back again ?
