Village Pizzeria & Ristorante

After my Grandmother's internment, we needed a place central to our family's whereabouts. I chose VP&R and we even started trickling in early, they were so accommodating. The food & drink was not only prompt but it was so fresh and good. a few of us had been there before, but the ones who hadn't were satisfied. 10/10 and thank you, from the Downs/Schermerhorn families!

Very disappointed in a birthday dinner. Took half an hour for drinks to hit the table and an hour for our appetizer to hit the table which were cold and then the waiter brought our main dish out right behind the appetizer. We usually have no issues here with good food and service but I think tonight the waiter dropped the ball and next time we think about stopping there for dinner we'll definitely give it a second thought and nit sure we will.

Former neighborhood pub that moved way up market. Food used to be outstanding, last couple of visits it's only been pretty good. Staff is outstanding

Waitress very busy, polite, efficient.
Food WAS excellent.
Had Eggplant Parm & Bruchette & Kentucky Boubon Ale.
Planning next trip back, live in Albany.

Sandy and her team are awesome. Food is awesome and atmosphere is great. We visit often and had our company Christmas party there last night. Great times.

I’ve been going there for close to 20 years. I’ve never had a bad meal. The food is amazing. The staff is amazing. Probably the best wine selection in 50 mile radius, hands-down and the best part is the owners are on site at all times making sure everything is perfect.

Just had dinner there with my husband this past weekend. What a find! My husband was feeling pizza/wings while I was more feeling a veal piccata and great wine moment. Both happened here! Wow. What a beautiful restaurant in a historic building. The dining room is cozy and welcoming. Could not believe the quality and size of the wine list. Veal piccata was perfect. Pizza and wings were both delicious(I stole a bite). Finished off our meal with real cappuccinos and a cannoli. YUM! We will be back.

Place is very dirty. Carpets dingy, terribly pqtched holes in ceiling and more. Food was OK sauce on my veal was incredible watery to the point my plate was drowning. Pizza order by wife crust was soggy and barely hot when delivered to table. Service was fine nothing special.

Everything about this place is great! Their pizza ? is yummy. The raviolis are the best in the area. I could go on & on about the food, but it would be too much to write. I suggest you go try it for yourself. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed!
