Applebee's Grill + Bar

The worst service experience of my life ordered lemonade with my son and order our food. The drinks came out fast however after a hour and change of waiting the waitress comes to tell us the kitchen is backed up from a catering order (that's the first n only time she visited our table after dropping off our lemonade) she ask if I would like to speak to the manager which I reply of course. Ten more minutes goes by the manager never comes and she comes back with the food both plates look dry like they been sitting there as well as the orders where incorrect. In conclusion I left because she said the manager was giving her an attitude and refused to speak to me. Rather than get rude with the young lady I wished her a blessed rest of her shift and left with my 4 year old son. I do not advise anyone go here if you want to be respected and treated with dignity. This Applebees in Middletown ny is horrible.

Steak was rare.And we said med.well.Dirt fork. Waitress said it looked like lime.I didn't care what it looked like.ALL I knew I got a dirty fork.

Getting to this Applebee's was a workout—accessibility clearly wasn’t on the menu. The food came in generous portions, the atmosphere was fine, but the service... well, let’s just say our server’s enthusiasm was probably stuck in traffic. 3 stars: came hungry, left full—just not with warm, fuzzy feelings.

It was ugly. Bar staff was really inattentive and way behind, with just three people sitting at the bar. Too busy bullshit with one other customer who was also at the bar.
The food portions are very small compared to what they were a year ago. I won't be back.

The food was not good at all. My burger wasn't cooked right. The buns were stale and soaked with Blood from the uncooked burger. It was replaced but I was disappointed.

I love the food here, but after today, the service sucks. I ordered food online for to go car pick up and the worker gave my food to the wrong Person. She told me that they was going to make it but after 30 minutes of waiting, I finally called in again to see if it was ready. She said that it was Ready and she was walking out now, but unfortunately, she did not. I waited another 10 minutes until going inside and asking for a refund. The person that got my order came back and the worker just gave him his right food so he got two orders for the price of one while I did not receive any food at all. they need to train their workers to ask for the person’s name before giving them their food for the car side to go orders so this will never happen again. Only giving two stars because I love the food at Applebee’s.

Went in and it was NOT busy at all, so we thought ok good. So we got sat at the bar area. It did take about 10 minutes for our waitress to come just for our drinks and then that even took about 5-10 minutes (we only order a soda, coffee, and Shirley temple). We placed our order waited about 15-20 minutes for our appetizer and our waitress didn't even bring it out, which that was OK. Then about 20 minutes later came our food and our rolls for our sandwiches on the top were hard. BUT, the BIG problem was the "manager" and/or the rest of the crew were sitting/hanging around at a table about 2 tables away from us and I also had my 13 yo daughter with us. As you can think the conversations were not GREAT, cussing and crap talking and drinking. Also, before we got our appetizer my husband asked for a Pepsi when we ordered the drinks and when he got it he tasted it and it was diet. So I proceeded to ask her for a new one cuz it tasted like diet and she said "well it's not diet but I can gett you a new one." When she returned with the new one, that one was clearly Pepsi! ALSO, another BIG problem that had happened was a man came in and seemed to ask about his to-go ordered (didn't here all the details) but the Manager that was on duty was NOT polite to him and then proceeded to credit him his money back(we heard that) then after the man left the manager started talking/cussing crap about him (NOT COOL & RUDE) then towards the end of our meal a lady and I think her older mother came in for there to-go order and waited by that area and the manager continued to talk crap with his friends even with cussing and the lady said something to him about it and his reply was just so RUDE to her. I just have to say this will be the LAST TIME my family and I come to this Applebee's as well I will be telling ALL of my family and friends. Totally Unacceptable acting of this manager and his workers/friends!

Waited 10 minutes till after we were seated before waitress even approached us. Finally got drinks after another 10 minute wait. Told them to put extra shot in margarita which they didn't so sent it back for another shot. It came back 10 minutes later not frozen anymore because waitress chatted with bartender for 7 minutes (yes I watched and clocked it) before drink was returned. Never came or asked to refill my water. She sat in a booth scrolling through her phone. Food was good though but we won't be back. Make better choices when hiring people Applebees. No reason to sit and wait like we did when you weren't very busy.

Our waitress was friendly but lacked attentiveness. I had to send another wait staff to find her 2x.
Food is typical nothing special...chicken bacon ranch sandwich.
The decor is dated and boring. Haven't been to an AppleBees in almost 2 years, apparently I haven't missed anything.

Wow.. this place is special. I have not been this particular restaurant in quite a while and couldn't remember why - but i though what the heck. We arrived at 9 pm to grab a quick dinner, and it was anything but. We waited for 11 minutes for someone to seat us. The place was empty (4 patrons) and I counted 11 employees who saw us standing there. We finally were told we could take a seat in the bar. When we did, the manager scolded the hostess telling her we couldn't sit there. Whispering about us in ear shot.. lol.. she was subtle like an elephant in a China shop. So we moved without being asked. Then we waited again.. 18 minutes for someone to take a drink order. The service was terrible. The food was typical applebees fare. It was a great reminder of why I stopped going to this Applebes to begin with.
