This place is a complete disaster. I’ve had my order messed up three times now, and after today’s experience, I am officially done.
I ordered three toasted bagels. What did I get? A bag of eleven. How do you mess that up so badly? Mistakes happen—sure—but this isn’t just a mistake. It’s a pattern of total incompetence.
But the real issue? The manager. Absolutely vile behavior. When I called to explain the mistake (again), she didn’t apologize—she got defensive, rude, and downright nasty. I asked for the owner, who’s usually reasonable, but she wasn’t in. Instead, I got this manager on the phone, and what followed was completely unacceptable.
She tried to blame me for their mistake, told me I’d have to drive 30 minutes back to fix their error, and then—get this—started swearing at me. Profanity, name-calling, and even threatened to ban me from the deli. As if I’d ever go back after being spoken to like that.
This person has no business managing a lemonade stand, let alone dealing with paying customers. The owner seriously needs to wake up and realize this manager is driving people away with her disgusting attitude and lack of professionalism.
There are dozens of bagel shops around—don’t waste your time or money at this one. Unless you enjoy getting the wrong order, being blamed for it, and verbally abused when you speak up. I’ll never step foot in this place again.
What a gem! Service to food everything is excellent. We got pumpernickel, everything, jalapeños and cinnamon raisin bagels and all were very good. Cream cheese was very yum too. Coffee was awesome! Pumpernickel bagel was the best I have ever had. Will highly recommend. It took little time to get our bagels though.

Spouse & I hunted for a bagel shop - forever - ! We came across this place on FB and we tried it out the next day! Boy were we surprised! Fresh bagels, and specialty cream cheeses! Coffee is excellent! We went back 3 days after and brought some take-out bagels to have on-hand with a tub of scallion cream cheese! We want to try some lunch there, soon!

Any time I’m working in Middletown, I make sure I stop in to get food. I couldn’t find a good breakfast place until I found this one. The service is great and the food is even better. Highly recommend to anyone who hasn’t tried them yet.

The woman (who I assume owns it) was AMAZING. She seemed to know everyone who came in and was on the phone taking orders the whole time we were waiting for our bagel. The bagel was great, and I loved the small town vibe of the place. Definitely recommend a stop!

Stopped by this café for a quick coffee and a bite from out of town with family on our way to the Paramount Theater. Great food and service, nice array of options, very reasonable pricing. Highly recommend.
