Overall, the food and environment at Fushen Hot Pot are quite good, but there is one issue that really affects the dining experience. Quite often, some groups of people (usually Asian) come into the restaurant without ordering food, and they just sit around talking very loudly. The noise makes it hard for other customers to enjoy their meals. Hot pot should be a fun and relaxing dining experience, but the loud atmosphere can be very disruptive. I truly hope the restaurant can pay more attention to this issue—perhaps by setting clear rules or reminders—so that all guests can enjoy their meals in a more comfortable and pleasant environment.

Great place
Nice home like environment
What a lovely spor right here in Middletown. Possibly the cleanest restaurant I have eaten in, and kind, friendly, patient humans running the place. Go have dinner, you will not be sad :)
Staff is nice and accommodating. The beauty (and curse) of hot pot is that it's kind of up to you how good the meal is.
My advice? 1) Go heavier than you'd think with seasonings and 2) Add vegetables first (it adds flavor to the broth--and, more importantly, they take longer to cook). The meat takes practically no time to cook, but you also don't have to be in a hurry to eat it.
You've got two hours. Enjoy it.
Great quality meat friendly staff and overall a nice relaxing place to eat. Bring a jacket when I went it was a lil chilly, other than that if I could give this place 10 stars I would
Have an incredible experience every time we visit
Very good food, friendly and welcoming employees.
Great service, great people, great food!
Great food for Middletown!! The waitresses are nice, but service is extremely limited. I just find it weird how you have to order one particular item rather than a bunch like normal hotpot? Maybe it’s the style they’re going for?

Really sad that I have to make this review but I need to be honest. Let’s start with what was good, the food. What we got was good but the problem was getting it to the table. At these kinds of places if you order too much and don’t finish it you have to pay extra, that is fine I totally get that. Having this in mind we ordered what we knew we could handle but wanted to wait and see how the portions came out. The order came and some of the items are missing again totally fine… if we ever got our second order. We finished our first round then put in a second as we were finishing. 20 minutes pass and the server comes over and says we are out of most of what we ordered and gives us a plate of noodles. How do you run out at an all you can eat? The strange part is they were still taking new tables which I’m not sure how that possible if some of the most ordered items are out. It has now been 2 hours in total and we have gotten one round in which wasn’t all that much. They obviously took in more guests than they could handle . It wasn’t cheap either, we paid $30 per person and we weren’t given a discount or comped. We just cut our losses after we realized we probably weren’t going to get anything. Really disappointed drove an hour to try it out. I am sure if it wasn’t that busy we would have had a good time. But if you can’t handle that many guests don’t accept them.
If your looking for something unique and traditional, check this place! Food is great and the service was excellent!
The best restaurant in this area!
Hidden gem , hole in the wall!! This is not your typical hot pot, this is a family owned small business. We did not expect to find an authentic hot pot restaurant in Middletown. The food and broth was Fantastic and so was the service. The hot pot broth was fresh & authentic, and not salty. They had a variety of fresh meats and veggies. The sauce station had my favorite sauces , made daily. They had everything from peanut sauce , hot spicy chili, sesame paste. Most importantly , they kept the sauce station very clean and organized. Highly recommend !
I think a lot more people need to support local businesses and small chain things. This was definitely a locally owned restaurant and I think that that is very important. If you come here do not expect that it will be one of those K-pot places. They had really fresh food overall. A lot of the things were frozen that when cooked you wouldn't be able to tell if there was no freezer burn. They don't have as many options as some of the other places but overall there was enough to be filling with a lot of options. I think everyone should try here.
