I was very surprised and happy to see this place finally re-opened. I decided to try it for lunch today just in case it closes again. I sincerely wish them the best of luck this time around, because the food was good and the cook/server was very friendly and attentive . I’m looking forward to returning to get the seafood boil. I only gave 4 stars because I like my fish extra crispy otherwise??

So disappointed..fried shrimp was small and extremely salty and over cooked(like rubber), fries were raw. Seafood boil was a bag of soup.. all flavorless water.. no butter or garlic and not to mention 54 dollars for 1 and half small snow crabs. Fried fish wasn’t fresh.. it was the frozen whitings and had no seasoning or flavor.Will never go back…

They need to do better... The macaroni and cheese tasted more than a few days old. The collard greens had no taste at all. I gave three stars because the salmon was actually good and my husband said his food was ok. Wishing them all the best!Edit: You were open Feb 2022.

My husband and I tried the catfish dinner and whiting dinner with garlic wings on the side. Everything was delicious we are definitely going back again and again. I would recommend this place to all of my friends and family.

Good meal. I got the fried fish, shrimp, and chicken with chips. Tasted good and I left full. Ask for the house special sauce. Nice people , the restaurant is very clean and has really good food

I went to Js Seafood today and let me tell you my experience was all around amazing!!!! The cashier/hostess was very friendly and gave excellent customer service. I order the #2 combo with whiting and shrimp and it was so delicious with amazing flavor’! I will definitely be back!

So lets start with the food, we order the shrimp and snow crab legs boil, buffalo wing and mozzarella sticks for and appetizer. 1st let me just say that after we put in our order she can back a few minutes later to say they no crab legs... so we took a min and said ok then shrimp and mussels...nope... no mussels either...I'm like you knew you had nothing to offer but shrimp so you should've led with that in your introduction.Mozzarella sticks well over cooked enough said you mess up mozzarella sticks and you lose me. Buffalo wings (sheesh) they brought them out in parts as in they gave us 4 that were old, with soggy fries. Then a few min later they brought out 3 ( yes) 3 more that were fresher, but by this point I'm done and didn't even eat them! Now the boil...so we just got a shrimp boil and decent amount of shrimp it was iight but was alil bland but edible or honestly we could've just over it by this point. Hate to put a not so favorable review on this place because the up side potential is very high, but guy you gotta do better. I never wanna see a black owned business take this kinda hit. So reach out. I'll consult with you.

I was looking forward to eating but soon turned disappointed. The fish looked and tasted like it had been microwaved because it was soggy ,and everything else was bland .this place has great potential hopefully they'll change some things

I went to J'S Steam n Fry. The macaroni salad was awful. It was thick with so many different vegetables. Which made it dry. Macaroni wasn't used in the salad. The fish was fish strips. It looked like they took 1 fish and cut it into 4 pieces. For the price it's not worth it. The collard greens was cut and cooked properly. Just too much salt. The ingredients they place in the food doesn’t match with the cooking. It's a great idea for this area to have a seafood restaurant. But they need a actual professional cook that has experience in seafood cooking and preparing. Whom ever the cook is doesn’t take time in preparation. American dishes takes time and prep to get that authentic taste. You pay $30 for a meal. To me it's like garbage. Something you would put in the refrigerator and throw in the garbage a few days later.

If I could give negative stars I would. The Food Tasted like I was eating last night's reheated leftovers that had been sitting in a bowl of boil water all night, potatoes were mush and falling apart the corn was hard and could barely be bitten seafood was overcooked to the point it lost all texture. Was given our plates without utensils needed to eat the crablegs that couldn't even Crack open. All around terrible experience and pricey for the garbage they serve.
