My favorite spot in Middletown! And definitely Top 5 place to eat in general! All the Food is absolutely delicious! You cant go wrong choosing this spot for any celebration. So happy we have such great quality in Middletown! And the fonder being a JWU fellow alum makes me so proud!

We had a bad experience today. Manager on the phone was rude on the phone when we called to confirm the order on door dash saying they didn’t do for years on door dash. After a few minutes as we try to cancel the order the cheff called saying it was ready. Wow we had a very bad experience. We have been to this restaurant a couple times. It was pretty rude. No apologies ! I went finally got my order that mistake made me lose some hooted of my day! No nice park reed. Please train your employees ! A manager should not be mean to no one on the phone!

Went here for our second annual holiday office luncheon. 13 of us in total, server Erika was AMAZING! Super friendly, offered recommendations and food was superb. Decorated beautifully for the holidays. You are definitely missing out if you don’t try this gem.
This was our second year gathering for the holidays at the Oak and Reed. We were not disappointed!! Erica was exceptional with service! She was so helpful and friendly, and she made the experience enjoyable. The food is amazing!
This used to be my favorite place to eat out. Last night failed completely except for the service. I dont know who is doing the cooking now but the chicken was burnt.. looked like the oil that was used was old. The collard greens were too salty to eat and the potatoes tasted like they were out of the box. I hope they change back to whatever they were doing before. The highlight was the waitress . She was efficient and polite and a pleasure. ** the picture is of the food in the take out container..I salvaged the chicken at home.. making chicken salad..I left the greens** This was a big disappointment!

Delicious. Imaginative menu. Thoughtful presentations. Recommend the corn bread and the chicken and waffles. The duck quesadilla was good, but the hoisin sauce overpowered the dish. The cocktails are non alcoholic mocktails. Good beer selection. The food overall was excellent. The only minor issue was we had to repeatedly ask for a water refill. The entrance is in the alley second door.
Their customer service is second to none and the ambiance was perfect for a relaxing evening out.

I had the pleasure of working with Laura to plan my baby shower here at her restaurant. She made everything so super easy and accommodating. The place is beautiful, the staff is amazing. It was all around just perfect. Laura is so sweet and you can see that she takes pride in what she does along with taking care of her employees. My guests couldn't stop talking about how good the food was and how cute everything came out. We chose to do a lunch buffet style so that everyone could try all the great dishes they have to offer. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to throw a party. Thank you so much for making my baby shower so so special! We will definitely make a stop in to see you with our new baby.

We had our rehearsal dinner and our post-wedding brunch at Oak & Reed, and both were amazing! All of the food was delicious, from the passed canapes, to the dinner, to the brunch buffet. Their cocktails were also very good. I worked with Laura and Isabella to sort out all the details, and they were wonderful throughout the planning process. I was so appreciative of how seriously they took my allergies to ensure I wouldn't have anything to worry about on my wedding weekend. They made our events special down to the little details, like asking me about my wedding colors so they could personalize the menus to match. All the staff for both events were friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. We are so glad we chose Oak & Reed for our rehearsal dinner and wedding brunch. We would highly recommend them for any special event and we will definitely be visiting again whenever we are in the area!
