I am very surprised to see such good reviews of this place. Myself and 2 friends came to a near by town for a bachelorette weekend and we all love sushi! And even more an all you can eat style sushi. We drove to Zen Sushi expecting it to be amazing based on reviews. Boy were we disappointed.
Overall the place is cute, seemed clean and well kept. When it came to ordering things were simple, when receiving our “orders” seemed to not be so simple. We were brought doubles or triples of things we did not order and weren’t brought certain things we did order. When we made this a known point to the waitress when she would bring things that weren’t ours she got an attitude and said no you ordered it and we continued to say NO. Their system obviously needs work and maybe they could be successful.
The food was very basic, not cooked correctly shrimp tempura wasn’t crisp as of they use the wrong breading, was just very moist and not good at all. Most of the fried things seemed to be this way; greasy! Gross!
We were not impressed with this place during our journey.

We have been here a few times. The food is very good. When they are busy the service can be a little slower, but it is still very good service. 30 dollars for all the sushi rolls you want is a great value, too.

Stunned that this place has such good reviews. I suspect most of the reviews are fake or from people who have never had a decent piece of fish in their lives. No one’s expecting Nobu for $30 AYCE, but this was probably the worst sushi experience I’ve ever had, even for an AYCE. Here’s why:
- very low quality fish, and not fresh at all. I sent back some of the tuna bc it wasn’t clearly foul. The yellowtail was better
- hard, cold rice with too much vinegar
- rice is overpacked in nigiri pieces in an attempt to fill you up. The pieces of fish on top are very small but there is a ton of rice underneath
- as mentioned by others, the wait to get your food is inexcusable. I was there late when there were 2 other tables being served, then they left and I was the only one. It took 1:20 from start to finish. That is insane. I suspect they may do this so you fill up in between/order less. There were hardly any customers so it wasn’t like they were struggling to keep up with demand.
- like another reviewer mentioned, they ‘forget’ some items
Hate writing bad reviews for small businesses, but this one needs some very big improvements.

I ate all I could eat. Because that’s the deal here. And it’s a fantastic deal. $30 per person for all you can eat. Just don’t leave any behind. The service was really great and the food was delicious. It would be nice if they made a note of what was what when they bring it out to you so know what you’re eating. But that might be easier said than done. This will definitely be a place we bring people to who are visiting.

Great, generous all-you-can-eat special with attentive gracious staff. Yummy sashimi, sushi, hot appetizers. Highlights: salmon sashimi, gyoza, Philadelphia roll, all beautifully and delicately plated. Comfortable seating with ample spacing between tables ensuring privacy and ease of conversation. Attractive wood paneled interior also immaculately clean.
