The food is excellent and so is the atmosphere. Authentic French at its best. The only issue I’ve noticed in the several times I’ve eaten here is whatever time I try to reserve, usually 6/630pm they always say (yes the Asian lady so often referenced) you have to come earlier like 530/545pm. I’m aware they do this so they can flip the tables an additional time to make more money as there’s nobody every there at that time and still not full by 7pm when we leave. The owners wife should stop doing this especially to good customers as it’s evident in what she is doing. Otherwise great food

Way overpriced for what they truly offer, I ordered there beef burger with cheese and bacon,It was not bad but you can get a better burger down the street for half the price,The place is small and noise echos, and he place was by no means packed but I still couldn’t hear my own table guests, The water is warm the bathroom is small the quality is sub par and the prices are high
Horrible food rude service. Wouldn’t recommend

Consistently savory French cuisine prepared by a chef rooted in Provence. Excellent soups, sauces, desserts, and reasonably priced wines

Our sandwiches were delicious, but the dining room was small and noisy. There are about 5 tables in the room and two tables of 4 dinners were very boisterous not using there indoor voices. We couldn't wait to finish our meal and leave. We cannot depend on the situation being different if we returned because the small dining room has no acoustics.
Le Baux has sadly slid downhill in the last two years. The service was rushed although there were plenty of empty tables when we arrived and departed.
The rack of lamb had more fat than meat. And a white tasteless sauce.
The tart tartain was mushy and plopped on a large plate. They charged $3 extra for a scoop of ice cream to go with it.
There were no candles or flowers on the tables. And flimsy white paper place mats were as cheap as you can get.

Came here with my husband for a nice dinner our first night on a weekend away together. Everything was delicious and perfectly prepared. If we lived here it would be a go-to place for an occasion, and probably awhile before I thought to try other things on the menu, so satisfying were what we had, which were: warm bacon & poached egg salad, peppercorn steak, potatoes gratin, filet of sole grenobloise (capers & lemon sauce, light but full of flavor,) caffé legoux (coffee ice cream & caramel sauce,) and flourless lava cake. Although much was made of their wine options online, the waiter didn't describe options more than what the red & white special were. Coming from a large city, places whose decor jus looks like a home inside, but as with Les Baux is also kind of minimal & neutral tones, isn't an environment I really enjoy, but I know it's common enough with suburban locales. The waiter was communicative and warm.

Moules were awesome and a very generous appetizer. Pork tenderloin and branzino special were also quite tasty. Great coffee and creme brulee too. It's not cheap but not too outlandish for the quality and experience. Seating is a bit tight and the group behind us was a bit loud so, altogether, it feels like a true bistro! We will be back.

Went there last night for diner with my friend. We are both black, well travelled and educated. I usually don’t write reviews but have to this time. The Asian woman (who may be the owner or manager) who greeted us initially was not friendly and aggressively asked if we had a reservation, which we dis. It caught my friend’s attention but we said to ourselves” let’s see how the rest of the evening goes”. She sat us on a table for 2.we got there around 7:30pm and it wasn’t busy. Then the tables next to ours (table of 4 and table of 3) became occupied by white folks and one Asian lady. The “owner”/ manager on TWO occasions came to check on “her guests” to make sure they were doing fine etc.. she didn’t think it was necessary to do the same with us. If one doesn’t call it racism I have no explanations. Why would you give certain guest preferential treatment based on their the color of their skin?
Anyway. Had to leave this review..

Table may have been available but hostess declined to seat my family.

We walked into an empty restaurant at noon and were lectured by the hostess for not making a reservation. She sat us at a table anyway. A group of four came in and while we waited, they were served bread and drinks. The hostess was chatting with them, clearly knowing who they were. Nobody came to us. Meanwhile, the restaurant remained empty. Finally my friend went up to the hostess to say we were ready to order, only to be snapped at saying to give her a minute! Needless to say we walked out. As we did so, she kept yelling about reservations! My friend has been there for lunch numerous times without a reservation. Nowhere on their website do they state one is needed. Talk about hospitality! Horrible experience!

Without a doubt, a wonderful and very authentic French bistro in the heart of the Hudson Valley. Highlights are duck, steak, moules frites, dauphinois potatoes and authentic coffee!
