I recently dined at Madeira Sports Café with a friend on a quiet Tuesday night. The dual ambiance of a bar and dining area created a welcoming atmosphere. Brought here for a staff lunch. Definitely was surprised based on walking into a bar. Had one of the specials, fish with tomato rice, and it was delicious. First time having Portuguese food and it was fantastic. Wine was great as well, and finished with espresso.

You enter the side door, and walk directly in to the bar. We got a nice breath of cigarette smoke upon entering, so that wasn't so great. The bar was pretty busy, looked nice, but the restaurant was odd. It had a couple of TVs for sports watching parties, and felt like a small banquet hall where you would host a reception.
