Beautiful night out, delicious food, this restaurant is inside an old mansion. Owner greeted us as we entered and service was fantastic. No reservation needed.

Do not waste your money in this restaurant. The service was good, but the food was extremely bad to the point that Im almost convinced they used water down Ragu sauce for spaghetti and taste less meat balls my kids tried to eat. The risotto fruto de mare was the worst I ever had it was like eating rice with butter+ sprinkle with saffron powder! At $50 is madness. My wife ordered the 3 color salad with homemade blue cheese, which was Herman's mayonnaise with a few pieces of chesse(disgusting). She left it after two bittes. I told the waiter about it and very politely brushed me off. It's better you go to a local pizza shop than spend money in a place that doesn't care about the quality of food they served just because the restaurant is in a beautiful villa!

This place is insanely expensive. Met a friend for lunch and ordered risotto with fillet mignon end tips. The dish was $50 dollars. Keep in mind this is a lunch portion so not too big and the fillet mignon was just end tips ( 1 inch cut pieces of fillet end tips) and not actual fillet mignon. The dish was ok, nothing that would make me order it again even if the price was reasonable. I had better and less expensive risottos in other restaurants in Hudson Valley.

Our entrees were cold and our waiter forgot about us. Lasagna should be easy for an Italian restaurant, not only was it cold, the sauce tasted like it came out of a can. We will not be

Went for Christmas Eve. Prices were insane. 2 adults and 3 small children was almost $300 with the tip. Had 2 glasses of wine, 2 entrees, 1 appetizer, and 2 kids meals. Paid $55 for 2 kid portions of chicken piccatta. All entrées were double the price of any other day. It's not right to price gouge and take advantage of people, especially during the holidays. Not to mention, the food did not impress. I got the stuff branzino and the flavor was one note and rather bland. The best thing about the meal was the bread and oilive oil. I will say the service was great and the establishment was decorated well. The restaurant was a decent spot for basic Italian food, but I won't return due to this Christmas Eve experience. The quality of food is unfortunately not worth the price. There are better Italian restaurants in the area that don't charge that much for a holiday meal.

It was our first time at La Vera Cucina, and it won't be our last. The restaurant is so quaint and beautifully decorated and upscale. In fact, we felt we were under dressed. And even though it was Christmas Eve, and we didn't have a reservation, they accommodated my husband and I. The waitstaff and service were amazing. At every turn, they'd ask if everything was fine or if we needed anything. I had the chicken parm. The serving was generous. Of course, I needed a carry out container. Since we were staying in a hotel, we needed flatware. The restaurant didn't have plastic utensils. The person who I assumed was the owner, asked the waitstaff to give us real flatware and said, "Bring it back the next time you visit." Talk about going the extra mile. I highly recommend La Vera Cucina restaurant.
