The fries were amazing, they only had one working bathroom while we’re were here and it is a tight squeeze. There was a line and the sink was not draining well. The lobster roll was delish but the kids chicken quesadilla was amazing! I stole quite a few bites. My husband had the fish sandwich also good! The drinks were cold and delicious. We got sat right away but the food took a bit long to come out.

Food is decent, but apparently customer service is optional here. We stood outside for 10 minutes waiting to be seated — restaurant practically empty, no line, just us. Four different staff members walked past without so much as a hello. I finally went inside to find four servers hanging out behind the bar, only to be told, “____ is helping a table, then she’ll seat you.” Right… because clearly no one else could possibly walk us to a table. We took the hint and went elsewhere. If you’re looking for attentive service, look anywhere else.

Very unassuming restaurant. Looks like a dive bar messed with a local eating spot. I was not expecting such an elevated dining experience. The pricing was pretty affordable. Ate the mussels that came with toasted bread that I dipped back into the sauce -absolutely amazing. Scallops salad was mediocre. The scallops were over salted. The Lamborghini sliders were really solid. The overall surprise was the key lime pie. I am from South Florida and consider myself a key lime aficionado. I was quite surprised at how the custard filling was so smooth and the crust was nutty and right on. They have my seal of approval.

If I could give this place more than 10 stars, I would! The Gig Shack in Montauk is hands-down one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had — and that’s saying something.
We started with a local greens salad with figs and plums that was fresh, vibrant, and bursting with flavor. The sweet potato, eggplant, and fried leek curry was a rich, comforting masterpiece, and the local sourdough bread with vegan whipped butter was so good we were tempted to ask for a second loaf to take home. Every bite felt both thoughtful and inspired.
The music set the perfect mood, and the entire team was incredibly accommodating to our vegan diet — not just in words, but in execution. The chef and owner personally came out to greet us, making sure we were happy with every part of our meal. That kind of genuine hospitality is rare.
This is a 10/10 restaurant in every way. In fact, if there’s one place in the Hamptons that truly deserves a Michelin star, it’s this one.

My family and I have been coming to 668 The Gig Shack for a couple of summers now, and it never disappoints. The dishes are authentic, unique and flavorful and the staff truly goes above and beyond. Tonight was extra special — the entire staff including the owners were incredibly warm and attentive, making us feel right at home.
We even bonded over our shared love for ethnic food, which made the night feel even more personal and memorable. This place has heart, great vibes, and the kind of hospitality that keeps you coming back. A true Montauk gem!

Most items are overpriced.
The food is mind-blowingly good, service is amazing, and atmosphere has a distinctive charm to it. I fell in love with this place (and their FOOD) and would absolutely drive 3h just to eat there again.
The Lamborghinis are art. I forgot what type of cheese they add, but it tasted heavenly. Fish tacos 🌮 are an absolute bomb. And the breaded fish 🥹 chef’s kiss 🤌🏻
Can’t add any photos: our plates were emptied within minutes.

Very cute casual spot. Food was really good and beautifully plated but a bit pricey. Was very exited for the croissant lobster roll but croissant was stale for being $50.
Wonderful place to visit while in Montauk. Great atmosphere and equally great staff. Irish bartender always ads to an establishment! Bring lots of money cause like every where else in Montauk, it's expensive!!
If you are a reggae artist, please do not accept a booking at this venue. The soundman will keep turning down your mic, turn off the bass of your sound, not have a mic cable and the patrons will completely ignore your performance.
One of my favorite spots in the area! The food, service, and vibes are always 10/10. This is a must try spot if you have never been - guaranteed you'll be back again!
It finally happened! I was invited to a local get together to watch the local star Steve Ruiz on Jeopardy and he was there in person! I managed to score a great spot next to him. Unfortunately, he did not win but boy did we have a great time.
