Oh, YES! A terrific, local centric joint with great fresh-caught local seafood. Very creative salads, incredible raw clams (spring for a dozen], great scallops, chowder, delicious banana creme pie that is their specialty. The best meal we had in Suffolk County and also the least expensive. If they’re open the day you get there GO THERE.

When I saw the 2023 menu, I should have known things had changed. Food seemed like frozen pre-made food. Ew. Don't want to feed it to my dog.Even the bathroom was filthy and disgusting.

Fix up outside- you pay top dollar for drinks just to sit in a gravel field with dead weeds everywhere. The top deck and inside is great and the food is decent, but you have such potential in the back where you have live music and its in a pathetic setting with a makeshift bar in the dark.

I've been here countless times, the place used to be good until the owner passed away until his awful wife took over and ruined it, literally go anywhere else you're better off eating dinner at 7/11Parking: Owner will vandalize your car if you don't park where she wants

the first time we went to salivars we had a great experience- amazing service, atmosphere, and lobsters! We made sure to come back this summer- except after this time we left with no intentions of coming back. Very disappointed with the pina colada i had been dreaming about!! It came tasting like ice. I had my bf try it and he confirmed yes, it was terrible. We asked the server if she could have the bartender add more colada mix (didn’t even want more alcohol!) into it to make it taste like an actually pina colada to which she returned and said “yea she said that’s our recipe for it” and left the drink on the table. As a server and bartender ourselves, we were not impressed that was the “solution” when it was easily fixable. The pictures are from the pina colada I got last summer compared to the one i’m talking about this summer… i think it speaks for itself. There was also a lack of knowledge about the menu when we asked if the brownie dessert was still gf our server said “oh i don’t know” to which we had to push for her to find out. We had another server come and ask how everything was about two inches from my boyfriends face, i thought he was tryna steal a kiss. Strange experience this time around.

not good at all we were seated very quickly to a sticky table and were left waiting 30 minutes before wesley took our order we ordered fish and chips which was 4 thin slices of fish in breadcrumbs with crisps! we asked for french fries but were told these were all the restaurant does it was horrible its a very busy bar with a mixed crowd everyone looked merry and enjoying themselves which is good but the food for me wasnt very good at all.

As a lover of good food and a seeker of dining experiences, I've journeyed far and wide, from the bright lights of the city to the tranquil coastline, in pursuit of culinary delights. Last night, that quest led us to a restaurant in Montauk that turned out to be such a treat. Our gastronomic adventure began with the restaurant's renowned New England chowder. The perfectly balanced texture and rich flavor of this dish had us hook, line, and sinker from the first spoonful. Next came the fried scallops, crispy on the outside, succulent on the inside, and paired with a dipping sauce so delightful that we were tempted to request a second portion.Just when we thought it couldn't get any better, we were presented with the fish parmigiana, a testament to the magic that can be spun with simple ingredients. Laden with luscious marinara sauce and melt-in-your-mouth cheese, it took the notion of comfort food to another level.Another crown jewel was undoubtedly the tilefish entree. Each bite brought a crescendo of flavor that eclipsed the previous dish, leaving us in a state of awe and contentment. Then came the grand finale: Eileen's famous banana pie. This isn't just a dessert; it's an experience - a tantalizing combination of subtle refreshing sweet flavors that made us feel like we'd discovered a little slice of heaven. This original recipe is a testament to Eileen's culinary prowess, ensuring we ended our meal on an undeniably high note.As I sit here today, the memories of our meal still linger. The flavors, the low key yet homey ambiance, and the excellent service have left an indelible impression on us. .In the end, it was more than just one of the best unpretentious meals we've had Out East. We can't wait to return, if only to relive this tantalizing gastronomic adventure!

This was a very accommodating restaurant. Along with the clam chowder and broiled fluke sandwich, I tried the swordfish BLT and clams casino. All excellent.

Their fried scallops, the fish parm, and Eileen's banana cream pie just changed my life forever.

0 stars. Ordered food. 30 minutes later ordered food to go.. 15 minutes later received To go food but still not our food for the table.. we got fed up.. asked for our check frustrated they asked why. When told that we never got our food it magically appeared but ice cold.. our fried flounder sandwich was frozen fish sticks in a bun.. the host told us "they work as a team" our response was so 3 of you neglected to save us? Even better.
