Extremely slow food service, especially since it wasn't busy. Meals below average, one fish taco was raw and sent back. Look elsewhere

Hidden Gem. Relaxed Atmosphere! Service exceptional. Everything was delicious and wonderful with Beautiful sunset view of the harbor.
But you’re here for the food. So , the staff is very inviting, friendly and helpful. Being my 1st visit I had to ask the waitress for some assistance. I ended up ordering the Pan Seared Tile Fish with Ratatouille and wild rice. Fabulous! The fish was fresh, hot with I nice seared crust. the ratatouille and wild rice nice and flavorful. I enjoyed the meal in leisure manner and finished off with an amazing slice of tiramisu complemented by a nice house red wine. I will be back for sure.
Thank you Gin Beach Cafe Staff.

Barely write reviews but people need to hear this one. Hands down worst dinner experience ever! The fault of mine was entering with an empty stomach. When ordering the waitress said that everything will be ordered at once however, two entrées came out with the appetizers and then the rest of the main entrees took 30+ minutes. When asked about it, they said that the two entrees came in as appetizers, which is confusing because one of the dishes was a whole fish with potatoes. Additionally, they mixed up one of the sides and completely forgot about the other.

This was our second year coming and I was as unimpressed as last year. The food was fine-I don't know if it is $200+ good for a family of four, but I expect that in Montauk. We made reservation for a group of 11 a week ago and confirmed it several days. But as mentioned in previous post, the service is rough!!! The employees are nice but there is not enough of them. We were frequently told they only have “one person in the kitchen”. Food was not brought out together. At one point everyone got their meals but myself and six year old daughter. Eventually my chicken showed up but not my daughters chicken fingers (which I would think would be the easiest ti make). Our server didnt return for a long time so it finally took someone in our party shouting “excuse me!!” At a bartender walking by to get help. We had to stop someone twice and just got attitude. My daughters meal finally showed up when some of our party was finishing their meal. I had ordered a side with my entree and it never came. I ordered another beverage…it never came. I honestly would not have tipped 20% except it was already on our bill because of party size.
I used to be a server, so I get it!! But it was horrible service!! I was so irritated by the time my chicken came, I didnt even want it. They were aware our large party was coming and they were not prepared.
The best part of the meal is the boats and view. I will not be coming back to spend $200 on okay food and poor service.

Service was OK. The waitress was very nice, but she was the only one there and overwhelmed.
Food was very mediocre. Undercooked chicken and the guacamole is not house made. $40 lobster roll with barely any lobster. Very pricey (as to be expected in Montauk) but for what was served not worth the visit at all.

Service was terrible. Food orders came out incorrect, impossible to get a server to help rectify it. Lobster roll tasted sour. Do not waste your time unless you like poor service and mediocre food.

This place is a hidden gem. Food was delicious, service great, and the view, though cloudy, amazing. We had a fab time, and will be back.

Love love love this place! Went here for lunch- for a mix of New England clam chowder, manhattan chowder and lobster rolls. All delicious and fresh. Then went for dinner- where the owner was so hospitable, nice and accommodating! We LOVE this place! Best sea food pasta I’ve ever had. Located on the inlet across from Montauk yacht club and had plenty of parking, indoor/outdoor seating.

Gin Beach Cafe was a great surprise — sipping a cocktail by the marina with the sun starting to dip and a plate of crispy calamari made for the perfect happy hour vibe. Chill atmosphere, solid drinks, and that salty breeze sealed it.
