The staff is miserable everyone’s orders were mixed up and they ran out of bagels by the way this is not the first time this happened. How can a bagel store run out of
Bagels at 8am. Someone call MR GOLDBERG!!! There were a lot of unhappy customers terribly overpriced as well

Always great for breakfast conveniently located by the docks so you can grab a breakfast sandwich and hop on the boat for a day of fishing

Best Goldbergs in Montauk. Bagels are mostly fresh, depending on the time of day. It tends to get busy around 8-10. I would say the best time to go is 7:30-7:45. Has everything a normal deli place has, but nothing more. Staff is quick, efficient, and determined to keep the line moving.

Service and food quality are nothing like other branches in Hamptons.
I understand it’s off season but I was very unhappy with one slice of cheese and 2 slices of ham. They upcharge for old stale hero bread which fell apart as I tried to eat.
I was unhappy with sandwich and had to throw out.

Service could be better. Lady behind the counter was told before hand there will be two orders, she said I'll take both your orders and then when my man ordered she walked away and we had to call her back to take my order. Idk it is what it is.
The mountauk beverage was pretty good. Bagel was nice I like the scallion chunks. I can tell people around here love this establishment. I'd be back. Was craving this during our trip.

Alright yes, I had to review all three locations. Same layout you would expect from all franchises. The difference I noticed is that the ice coffee isnt self serve. You have to ask for the cups. But no medium. Only S -> XL. The 'CC' and 'Scal' everything bagels were good. Good portions of cream cheese. I like how they fill the hole. [Thats what she said.] I even like the quality of the paper they are wrapped in. Overall, i can see how Mr Goldberg focuses on a quality product. Ok so service was lacking. The counter person totally ignored taking baes order.

It’s so sad walking into a Goldberg’s nowadays having grown up in this area. Question for ownership: If you care so little about how your business is run, then why don’t you just close your stores already and make room for people who actually want to have a positive impact? What used to be a friendly and family run establishment that cared about its customers and made bagels with love no longer exists. The Goldberg’s of today is cold and soulless and doesn’t give a *blank* about its bagels or its clientele. The people working at Goldberg’s in Sag Harbor and Montauk couldn’t care less if you have a pleasant experience in their store or if they’re serving quality food.

I walked into the location I’m writing this review for this morning ahead of catching the Block Island ferry and was the only person in the store. I said hello and smiled at the person behind the counter and she must have actively tried not to smile back at me or create a welcoming environment. Immediately I felt unwanted and like I had walked into a place where I was not welcome. All she said to me was “self-serve” after I said hello good morning and I’d like to have a coffee please. I ended up ordering an everything bagel toasted with scallion cream cheese and a rye bagel with sausage egg and cheese. Three people behind the counter and no one started making anything after it was ordered… I watched one person at a snail’s pace start making a pastrami sandwich for seemingly no one as there was no one else in the store but me and my partner at this point. Finally, we asked about our bagels since it seemed like they weren’t being made after some time went by of nobody doing anything behind the counter and one other person coming into the store asking about cream cheese, and the woman behind the counter took her time to cut the bagel and put it in the toaster. It sat there for a few minutes before we realized we’d miss the ferry if the next bagel was made on the grill at this rate so we ended up cancelling it and paid and left - no “thank you” or smile or anything from the staff.

All we want as locals - and as visitors! - is good bagels and friendly staff who we feel comfortable ordering with. I miss the days of Bagel Buoy in Sag Harbor and when Goldberg’s only had a few locations so that they could focus on actually making them good. It’s a shame what this place has turned into.
