This little back street gem is great, we take our boat to montauk for long weekend vacations from Ct throughout the summer and we love to go into town and walk around checking out the shops then we walk behind the buildings down the side street to this place and the food is always great, the svc is always good the staff is always so pleasant and it’s so relaxing and casual sitting outside at the picnic tables with umbrella and if you really want to sit out of the sun they have tables along the left side of the building that block the sun. We don’t go into town without going here! It’s aways consistently great!

The food was good but prices a little high considering you sat outside at picnic tables. I would add coleslaw or a vegetable to round out the baskets and break up just eating fried food. We had the shrimp and fish baskets.

The food looked really good, it had great presentation but once you actually start eating it, it was kinda bland. (Ordered Fish and Chips) The fish was pretty flavorless. Almost as if they completely forgot to season it, and it was drenched in oil. They say freshly caught and cooked but it’s pretty hard to believe that this isn’t just reheated Walmart fish
Seriously not good. My fish had zero flavor and soaked in oil. $72!

We had an excellent lunch here as a family of 3 generations. What a find. I was doubtful about only outside seating as it was very hot but neatly tucked down the side of the building were a few shaded tables. I love it when a place exactly delivers on its promises. Fresh seafood, cooked to order perfectly with efficient and helpful service. We all enjoyed our food and ate the lot.

I contemplated sending this in a personal note and mailing it to the restaurant. But a public scolding warrants a public retort.
Will not comment on the food. I placed an order on the website and (mistakenly) failed to tick off a box that defined my order as eat-in vs take out. Apparently my blunder was SO heinous that the owner took the time to exit the restaurant and reprimand me at my table in front of my 5 stunned guests. She continued to grouse that this innocent mistake meant we prevented others from sitting at this highly coveted table though from my view (see pic) that couldn't have been the problem.
After the scolding, she advised that next time I will need to order properly.
More of a takeaway, nothing special in the food.
