Great food, drinks, and atmosphere! A bit too expensive though. ($20 for a cocktail is crazy.)

Service was good, but a smile or a little friendliness from waiter would have gotten another star.

We ate at Kenny’s Castaways last. Night October 12th 2024 and it definitely surpassed even its best reviews! There was four of us and the appetizers were fresh and delicious, with an assortment of tuna tartare, beet salad, fresh mozzeralla and calamari! Our main courses consisted of grilled salmon, pasta, and pizza with various toppings! All the food was clean and fresh. Our waiter Mario was friendly and informative with an interesting personality which is sadly lacking in other restaurants. The overall ambience was cool, with background music that included some Van Morrison hits! I would have no hesitation recommending Kenny’s Castaway, great place to take friends and relatives!

Great food & fantastic service. We tried four appetisers, main courses and dessert - all fantastic. Mario was great looking after us and advising us how much to order. Will come again

Overpriced and sub par food. Nice comfy old school design but way overpriced for the quality.

One of the best meals I have ever had. Owner took the time to talk to us. Don’t listen to the 1 star reviews. It’s political sabotage. I had the veal Parmesan special with linguini. My wife had penne ala vodka. Drinks and wine was very reasonable compared to other places. A must go to place.

I was staying at the hotel attached to this place so I decided to give it a try. The menu looked nice and I was excited. Upon walking in I could tell that there was mainly an older crowd in the restaurant (I'm 25) but I asked for a table regardless. The owner immediately seemed disinterested with my being there and persuaded me to sit at the bar, presumably so he didn't have to wait on me. The food was good, but the tomato sauce for my lasagna was most definitely canned, and at over 100 dollars for my single meal and 3 drinks that was not nearly good enough in my opinion. Then, while I was eating the owner made some rounds to talk to everyone in the restaurant (even the other patrons at the bar) except for me. I'm guessing it was because of my age and he assumed I wasn't able to pay for the food. Overall, 6/10 food with over the top prices and a discemenatory owner.

Kenny's Castaway is my now go to place to dine in Montauk...The food is fantastic and bountiful...Mario the owner is hands on and very attentive to his patrons...the atmosphere is cozy...I have dined in other high end restaurants I won't mention and was very disappointed in the amount of food for the price...but Kenny's Castaway is 5 STARS IN MY BOOK...

I have no clue how this place has ever been rated less than a 5. Ask for Mario he is absolutely outstanding… their food is filled with flavor and authenticity…. I now don’t want to eat anywhere else. The atmosphere is warm and very comfortable. Making the perfect dinner spot for Sunday family dinners …

Any review written "from a year ago" is undoubtedly a scam and shouldn't be given an iota of creedence, whether it's favorable or unfavorable, as Kenny's Castaways was not open AT ALL during the 2023 season. Why? Because PSEG-LI disconnected the electric for nonpayment. And to set the record straight, there really is an eviction proceeding still going on, and there is more than one judgment against this restaurant and its parent coporation brought by food purveyors they still owe thousands of dollars to from th 2022 season.
