An hour wait past reservation time. Chicken breast overcooked. Order was incorrect, but because it took so long for food to arrive, we didn't complain. Waitress was frazzled but really trying hard and pleasant.

Maybe this place was better when it first opened since 2021 reviews are good but 2022 reviews rate this place poorly. The food was mediocre and portions very small especially for the price. What was horrendous was the service. The waiter put in the incorrect drink order for me which I waited for over 10 minutes trying to locate our waiter in order to ask for the correct drink. I finally got up and went to the bar myself for a replacement. When I told the bar tender what I ordered he said what I had was a different drink. When the waiter FINALLY returned to our table to take our order we asked what the oysters were that they had that night. His answer - West Coast East Coast. When we tried to explain that there are different oysters from the two coasts, he just stared at us like a deer caught in headlights. Seriously, do they train the wait staff at all??? The remainder of the evening didn't improve any. We will absolutely NEVER go back there! The waiter plus the expensive mediocre food ruined our entire evening and it was our first night of our vacation. Not a great start!

I used to be bartender there . one of the chefs was racist his name joe. I talk with the Manager he was Spanish he didn’t believe me . The 2 girls who were bartenders usually got drunk and I had to pay when they forget to charge customers . I will never work with them again.

What happened to La Fin? In 2021 it was a real 'go to' place with great food and a cool vibe. No more. It is as though the chef left and the new crew is trying to duplicate the recipes, but can't do it. The popular cauliflower flatbread is a mushy plate of vegetables and the formally delicious eggplant meatballs fell apart on the dish into a saucy mess. The seafood tasted 'odd' or is that 'old'? Pass on La Fin; at these prices there are many other options.

I made a birthday reservation on Open Table and when I arrived, the restaurant was closed!!! No call back from restaurant (or email) or Open Table that they would not be opened and the website showed they were supposed to be opened at the time of my reservation. Ruined my birthday so I am “not a fan”!!!!

Wow! We loved everything we had at La Fin! The best whole fish, eggplant meatballs, burgers and desserts! You can't go wrong. And the atmosphere is gorgeous! Fishing boats and stunning decor all work perfectly side by side at my favorite Montauk restaurant ! Can't want to go back soon.

Loved this place so much- the whipped mozzarella and tomatoes are so fresh and all local and the mules frites was incredible. Ozzy was our waiter and very helpful and prompt on check-ins. Definitely coming back!

This place is the worst. Rebranded Swallow East (which was so incredibly good and fit Montauk's vibe perfectly) into this horrendously overpriced and pretentious restaurant that's trying too hard to be Hamptons. The overall aesthetic of the restaurant was fine, but we sat at a round table in the corner inside and it was so hot we were uncomfortable and sweating our entire meal. We had some of the worst service we've ever experienced at a restaurant. Our server was incredibly rude and continually forgot parts of our order and then just stopped returning to our table at a point. Eventually the manager came over and he comped some of our order. And to top it all off the food wasn't even good. Flavorless and uncreative. The prices are offensive for the portions and quality of the food. Might as well eat at John's every night. To whoever changed this restaurant -- thank you for turning a classic Montauk restaurant with great food, service, and live music for locals and visitors into a touristy, overpriced piece of s*** place that has absolutely ruined Montauk's character. From someone who's been vacationing in Montauk for over 10 years -- not one person I know from the area has had one nice thing to say about your place. NOBODY LIKES IT HERE!

Not impressed! We will DEFINITELY NOT return! None of the 4 of us enjoyed the food. Although the flourless chocolate cake with peanut butter, did appear to be delicious, given the quality of our apps and entrées, we did not try it.

All hype- place is overrated. Drinks OK. It’s basically run by a bunch of high school students. Disorganized and frankly it’s amateur hour every hour here. Cool name and that’s about it. Don’t waste ur money. You want good seafood go elsewhere. If you want a scene you’re free to waste your time and money as you wish.Just a few details- no cutlery or napkin. Had to ask twice. No water. No oyster forks. I mean honestly… no idea what they are doing.

Oysters were amazing, and also good price for Montauk at $15/half dozen, really it’s true. Rest of the food was a little overpriced. Location on the marina is beautiful and ambiance very nice.

Pros: nice location overlooking the lake, free parking, was able to get a nice table outside on a Sunday evening right away with no reservations.Cons: very overpriced for pretty small portions. And the food itself was just ok if I'm being generous. Honey butter was good but the bread was rock hard and probably a week old from the texture and taste.I had the chicken breast. The potatoes and carrots were good but it was some of the driest chicken breast I've ever had - extra surprising considering it was bone in and with skin.My girlfriend had the lobster cavitelli which really was more or less plain pasta. There was two very tiny chunks or lobster about the size of a pea.I have eaten at a lot of nice restaurants so I know portions tend to be small, but still, for the price and a "farm to table" experience the food was immensely disappointing. To top it off they overcharged for the wine and had to get it fixed.

For a seafood place, only 2 fish dinner options. Our fish was raw and had to be sent back, bed of veggies were then cold, they did compensate with a free dessert, thus 2 stars not 1. Mussels were tiny. Overpriced for what it was. Our waitress was friendly and gave excellent service.
