Went here off of a recommendation and the guy that took my order had his airpods in. The sandwich I ordered had different options (Buffalo Chicken or turkey, and blue cheese or ranch), but he didn't ask which I wanted and just put his phone up so he could watch his video while he made it the way he wanted. It wasn't great, I threw it out.

M&R Deli is a true Montauk gem, recommended by a coworker when I was craving a cold cut fix, and it certainly didn't disappoint. This spot is a haven for anyone seeking top-notch cuts with fresh, premium ingredients. As a longtime visitor to Montauk, stumbling upon this place feels like discovering a hidden treasure. After trying their ham and Swiss sandwich loaded with a myriad of fresh veggies, I was blown away by the quality and freshness of every ingredient. Lunch here is an absolute delight, and knowing they also serve breakfast is an added bonus. Their commitment to freshness has won me over as a lifelong customer. I might just find myself back there tomorrow—I'm already craving another taste of their incredible sandwiches!

Favorite and best no frills deli for a quick bite. In the heart of Montauk it's location can't be beat and I'm convinced these are the best sandwiches in all of MTK. Get the Anna Marry or Standing up!!! So good!

Love me some Montauk, but my God, the grilled panini was one of the saddest sandwiches I’ve ever had. The chicken appeared to be low grade, had zero seasoning, and it wasn’t even grilled. Safe to say it was made with zero love. Probably also worth mentioning everyone working that day looked miserable. God bless.

Are the people who work here being held hostage? Everyone was so rude here, I'm shocked. I have never experienced that level of disrespect for trying to order a sandwich. If the food was good I would give it a higher rating, but the food wasn't good enough to see past the horrible customer service and nasty employees. I have never written a yelp review but I am so shocked by this interaction.

I would just like to preface this review by saying that I am usually never that person who runs to yelp after having a bad experience anywhere but I felt compelled to share this experience. I have never been to an establishment with such rude and unmotivated staff in my life. I would say "maybe they were just having a bad day" but keep in mind the place was completely empty and it was only noon. From the snarky attitude of the girl at the register to the outright rudeness and impatience of the man behind the counter this deli definitely left more to be desired. The food was mediocre at best so If you're thinking of coming here spare yourself the trouble and go to ANYWHERE ELSE.

I'm surprised no other comments say this because even back in 2020 (I spent the whole summer in Montauk and was a regular there) I remember always walking out of there in a horrible mood because everyone was just so rude. Young girl behind the counter looks like she'd rather be anywhere but there and seems like she doesn't know any word other than "yup". Bigger guy who took our order and made the sandwiches told us to "pay attention" when none of our sandwiches were even ready yet and the place was completely empty. Great food just wish they hired friendlier people. I'll go to the deli down the road just to avoid the workers here! Oh and they forgot my macaroni salad and pickle two days in a row and looked annoyed when I asked for them. Maybe I'd excuse the service if they did their jobs correctly. Smh both stars are for the food

packed every day in the summer. decently priced sandwiches and wraps. so so good for a quick bite at the beach. absolutely would eat here every day. great selection of drinks and chips. clean and also some counter stools to sit and eat if you don't want to take it to go.
