Visiting Montauk - found it online and been twice now. Just behind main street. Take out or eat casually on benches outside. Wide range of seafood options. Loving the Lobster Bisque and the Hooked House salad is a real must. Check it out - you will not be disappointed.

Hooked's setting is casual, with few outside picnic tables and no indoor seating, but the meal is consistently fantastic. Their seafood is fresh and served piping hot. It is always busy when we go, but the wait is worth it. They make the best crab cakes I've ever had. We go every summer and it is one of favorite places to eat in Montauk.

Second try and not the the best. Had lobster Mac and cheese with burn Italian sandy croutons with zero flavor . Had the fry shrimp with fries and not tarter sauce didn’t taste or a lower quick fix So call tarter sauce. The shrimp was from a package frozen store bought I was expecting fresh fry shrimp big difference and the fries were old old old like sitting around waiting on the next order. Fresh is always better . We won’t come back for the food again.

New England clam chowder was tasty and not too rich. Fish & chips were up to par. Calimari was peppery, purple squid which was unique in taste! It's all made fresh as you order with outdoor seating at picnic tables. Nice design inside that is clean with modern decor. Friendly, personable service.

This was the second time there this year and both times food was good but yesterday something happened that I thought was absurd. I ordered $80 worth of food and my dish was one mahi mahi sandwich which comes with fries. I asked the front counter woman if the French fries could be put on a separate paper tray that they serve your food on. She said she doubted it because the cook is too busy. I asked too busy to just separate them?? They are not cooked together. Now the only reason I was doing this was for my 7 year old grandson who is autistic and only eats a handful of things, French fries being one of them and we didn’t want any fish taste on them. Pretty reasonable request I think (and I told her the situation) She said she’d ask him, she came back a minute later and said he said NO, he’s too busy. I wanted to just cancel my order, get my $80 back and say screw off, but we were hungry and it was getting late. I had to order a separate order of fries ($4.95) because someone was to busy to pour them into a separate tray!!!!!! I truly hope the owner reads this and returns a comment

We really enjoyed this place. The food was very good, but the only seating was outdoors in the sun, which was not the greatest on an extremely hot day. If you don't mind that, top choice.

Perhaps i should have ordered something else.... Tuna poke bowl was ... strange ... to say the least. half cooked soba noodles with 10 pieces of tune (not bad, but not wow either) decorated with sliced cukes, mushrooms and onions was tasteless, the soup was not heated (i did put a request to make it scorching hot, and was promised that what it will be). I will not go back and would not recommend it

Wonderful seafood in a super casual setting right in town. Very friendly staff and even item we ordered was delicious. No liquor license but a nice family spot with ice cream nearby.
