Cool old school atmosphere. Old man at the counter is just the sweetest. Food is very.....meh. It was all cooked to order which is nice. Fried chicken was seasoned well but very dry. Everything else seemed like it came straight out of a freezer at Costco.
Service and ambiance saves the place. Next time im out ill give the chicken another try.

I am from Manhattan. After walking around downtown Montauk, I lanes in this simple eatery. I ordered Fish & Chips. The fries(chips) are crunchy and the fried fish is crispy and fresh. Highly recommended.

This place has amazing fried seafood and chicken. LIKE REALLY GOOD. The guy here was super friendly and super accommodating to our request! I would definitely come back here when I visit Montauk again

Great place for fried chicken, an old school little place where you can be yourself. It is unapologetic in its offerings. Because of this, some yuppy types will not enjoy this it very much. If you are from a blue collar / tradesman type background you will love it. When I bring my family to Montauk for a day trip we stop here for lunch. It's sort of a looking glass into what Eastern Long Island used to be all about and thats why I love it.

Needed a quick bite to eat and saw ppl rated this place highly for its chicken sandwich… which only led to my own disappointment.
I ordered the chicken combo which includes fries and doesn’t bring a drink but brings coleslaw. Which was pretty expensive and ordering just fries and the sandwich doesn’t actually matter.
The chicken sandwich was pretty mediocre. It’s pretty much the chicken patty with the addition of cheese and Mayo. The chicken was not particularly crispy or juicy, just missed the mark on excelling on anything. Although it’s flavor was still enjoyable, I ended up adding in the coleslaw to give it an extra bit of life and moisture.
I was more frustrated about the fries which were as basic as fries get. The price of the fries was the same price as Popeyes fries with none of the flavor. And when I try to request a sauce that’s not ketchup (because ketchup can’t save basic fries IMO) I was told it was an additional charge. I got ranch and it helped but was not that much better.
Otherwise this is a grab and go type of place so cashier did pretty much exactly what I needed and the ambiance is barely relevant to me in this case because I personally would not sit to eat here.
Overall mediocre food in a really nice and vibrant area (so disappointing).

The food here’s great! Me and my family were visiting montauk and we wanted some fried chicken, the chicken is juicy and the outside is so crunchy. The workers were so kind and the atmosphere in the store is amazing. We felt so welcomed and the service was great. I would recommend the munch box to anyone who loves fried chicken.

Stopped in with my son today for a late lunch. Owner was super nice and courteous towards me and my son. My son agreed that these were the best chicken fingers he had ever had. Prices were high but eh that's kind of par for Montauk. Just remember that this is a cash only place and it's not meant to be a five star restaurant, it's like the old score beach snack bars of my youth.
