Away from the craziness of the main drag of Montauk is this delightful family friendly casual eatery. We went early, had a hungry young daughter, so it was pretty quiet. Had table overlooking water and a few boats. Food was pretty good and tables were well spaced apart due to covid-19.

I have been going to MTK for 21 years and first time visitor. Order was placed through a window and we sat at a numbered table. Drinks were carried there by ourselves and food came in a reasonable time. Portions were fine and distancing was adhered to by other patrons. No indoor dining which would have been welcomed considering the wind.

Ok, so when I find such a wonderful place, especially by surprise, I feel duty-bound to report on how great the find was to me. My girlfriend and I came across this phenomenal, low key, gem while driving around absorbing the beautiful Montauk scenery. It just so happens that it was on a day where the weather appears to have been sent from heaven. We were looking for a place with great views, food, service, and prices. Well we sure found it! Across the board outstanding! We fell in love with this place and its people. Rick is an awesome guy and his team treated you like you were at their home. We even had the good fortune of sitting at the table next to the one and only Bill Murray, which is likely due to his desire to stay low key and still eat at great places. The food was spectacular! I had the Striper sandwich and my girlfriend had the lobster roll. I have been fishing all of my life and it was the absolute best Striper sandwich that I have EVER had. My girlfriend said same about her lobster roll. I can't believe that this incredible place has been around for 25 years and we are only just finding now. We will be returning regularly going forward for sure. Shout out and apologies to Rick and his team. Meant to post this right after we were there in June, but life got in the way.
