We had a great meal here last night. We enjoyed the kale salad, the fluke sashimi and the shrimp tacos. All were prepared really creatively with excellent ingredients. It was such a pleasant surprise to find such a good meal. Also had a really great cocktail. We were in Montauk for the weekend, and this was our first time to this restaurant. We will definitely come again. Take a look at the menu on the restaurant's website because the one on OpenTable was not accurate. Prices were lower at the restaurant website and were the accurate ones.

The service was awesome but the food was just ok. I don't think I would pick this place again. The only thing that was great was the appetiser kale salad and the French fries. It was disappointing

This was the best experience! The food was amazing and we had such a fun time. As soon as you walk in the staff was so welcoming! Ashley took care of us and made our night! She was so warm and fun. We had the absolute best night!

This place is amazing. Great food with one of the only real smash burgers in town. Also great are their Buffalo Chicken Bites (basically an elevated version of boneless Buffalo wings) with a fancy blue cheese dip. Whatever you do don't sleep on any of their desserts! The head chef and owner Frankie makes some of the most delicious delectable desserts on Long Island! Anything on their dessert menu is straight fire!

The main entrees took 2 hours to come out, they spilled a drink on two of our dinner members, they added 20% gratuity and wouldn’t let us take it off, wouldn’t compensate us for the two hour wait for food, and the waiter was offended that we even asked. To add to it, half our guests hated their meal. Probably because half of it was sitting in the kitchen for an hour and then microwaved before being served.

The food is okay overall, nice environment, good service, but the gluten free chocolate chip cookie with hazelnut gelato is would literally make me drive out here.Dietary restrictions: They have a huge gluten free menu.

Friendly staff. Food was interesting and local but there was a very large group (half of restaurant) so the food came out cold. Would give them another chance.

First time dining at South Edison. It was recommended to me by a friend. The staff were friendly and professional. They made you feel like they were there for you. Great starting point by offering a creative, delicious and wide variety of cocktails. My group went with ordering several appetizers. Some of the apps that stood out were the fried olives (I never had fried olives. Which were good.), Crispy Rock Shrimp (Delicious! Better than shrimp.), Duck Fat Fries, Lamb Empanadas (S. Edison hit this one out of the park! Mmmmm Mmmm) and the Buffalo Chicken Bites ( the sauce was outstanding!). If you're ever in the neighborhood and you want some delicious and creative cocktails and good food. This is one of those places you need to try.

Our daughter has Celiac disease and this was the spot for our family. Everything was offered mainly gluten free which was such a comfort for us. The duck was impeccable. Will be back for our next trip to montauk ?.
