Sam's Star Island Yacht Club & Marina

So annoyed. Been there for 4 years and spent thousands of dollars there for my boat and at the bait shop. For background I keep the boat half the year in Florida and half in Montauk. For Florida I spend $500 a month to keep my boat there and they lift my boat in and out of the water whenever you want. So now I went to take my boat out of the water at star island marina and my options were having it lifted out and placed onto my trailer or driving to the boat ramp (which was about a football field away). I spoke to a nice gentleman over the phone who explained it would be quick and simple to lift it out of the water and just to make sure the trailer was there by noon the following day. HE NEVER MENTIONED A FEE, so like an idiot I assumed it was on the house where I would throw a nice tip and job done (Just like Florida). Today I was going through my emails I see a bill for $1,000 dollars. I spoke to two people, Alex being the supervisor, and he handled it so poorly it was laughable. Moral of the story he made it clear today that they do nothing on the house at star island and I’m an idiot for thinking otherwise. Second moral of the story is drive your boat 10 minutes to the boat ramp to avoid excessive bills.
P.S. its a nightmare for any disabled persons, the place is not handicapped accessible at all (i have one leg)
P.S.S. Alex, how about you review the ADA laws instead of harassing customers that will never return to your marina

Absolutely delicious food! You hook, they cook!!
It was just another amazon dinner in one of my favorite place! Huge portions for three people! We brought seabass and lean cod and that all what we got!!! Super cool and great service! 50% occupancy due to COVID restrictions which made us feel safe! Definitely highly recommended by me as being picky gourmand ?.

I have been a member here for three years. This is the finest marina in Montauk New York. Their staff are not only professional, but well-versed in all areas of boating. This marina caters to fisherman in that they stay open longer than most marinas in that area, have great accommodations and service. They have my unqualified recommendation.

Great place to have you fresh caught fish prepared many different ways. Absolutely delicious

Nice Yacht Club with nice space to walk and small fish's pond for kids. I went there in early September on raining day so nobody there, so it was nice.

Was just a calming experience. Will go again.
