Let me start by saying this place needs a well check or a visit from a health inspector that actual cares about food borne illnesses. I have had their onion rolls and rugalech several times a few years back. I would have recommended them to anyone. Now, I will not! I went here today to get some baked goods to celebrate my sister's birthday. The gentleman at the counter wouldn't tell me the name of something and was very rude. I put some rugalech in a bag and he took each piece out one at a time to weigh each piece with his filthy gloves. His gloves were gross. He was using them to touch his hair, take money and give change, use the register, fix lunches, etc... I did not want to even purchase this crap after wards. $10.82 for 8 pieces of rugelach. Rip off. The only person in my family that ate it was my son and he started getting severe abdominal pains and is now puking his guts out and complaining his throat hurts. WTF?!!!! NEVER AGAIN.

God forbid someone should sneeze. Is it really that hard to protect the product? Until then, open air rugelach will not be on my radar anytime soon. Otherwise everything else is just fine.

I'm so glad I stopped in to Rugalech Heimishe Bakery on my visit in Monticello. All of the pastries looked so good, if only I could have bought one of everything! They have containers for you to fill with whatever you want. There are also some fresh looking coffee for purchase too. I ended up getting a big black and white cookie and different flavors of rugalech. Everything tasted delicious!
