“What a wonderful experience tonight! I read a review earlier today that mentioned the Chilean Sea Bass. Hubby had never had that dish and was happy it was a special tonight. I had the mushroom ravioli which was also delicious. We couldn't leave without the almond creme cake and cannoli to finish. We might try to squeeze another visit in during our week up here.”

“I was at Kartrite water resort with the family, and whenever you stay at these resorts, they hold you hostage with poor quality food. Nelly's is only 5 minutes away. This place has soul; the food is great with authentic dishes, the prices are budget friendly, the staff are nice, and the atmosphere is clean and casual. We need to support these privately owned ma and pop establishments. Or the only thing that will be left is a BK or Wendy's on ever corner.”

Our family stayed at the Kartrite Resort and found this absolute treasure of a restaurant! From the moment we walked in, we were enveloped in such a warm, wonderful family atmosphere. The heart of this place is truly the family running it. It was so special to see the father working side-by-side with his sons—some warmly taking orders at the front with big smiles, and others diligently preparing food in the kitchen. You can feel the pride and love they put into their business.

And the food? ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Every single one of us, from the adults to the kids, cleaned our plates. The kids are still raving about the fries (some of the best we've ever had!) and their meals. The menu is incredible, with unlimited choices to satisfy any craving. Whether you want a hearty comfort meal, a fresh salad, or something delicious for the little ones, they have it all.

If you're visiting the area or staying at Kartrite, this is a must-visit. Delicious, generous food served by the kindest, hardest-working family. We left with full bellies and full hearts. We can't wait to come back on our next trip! Thank you for an exceptional dining experience.”

“This past Sunday I was in Monticello visiting my grandmother. I decided to get some pizza with my kids on my way there, so we stopped at Casa Cava. It was the best decision as their pizza was phenomenal and delicious. It was ready quickly and was hot and fresh when it was served to us. The flavor was on point, with perfect sauce to cheese ratio.

What really stood out to me was the staff there. The manager Shaya working the register was friendly, patient, and very kind. He made sure we had everything we needed and did so with a smile.

Highly recommend stopping here if you’re in the area and want some good pizza. There aren’t many kosher restaurants, so I’m glad that the one we tried was a hit.”

The food is consistently good, the bakery is well stocked, and there is usually a nice selection of breads, pastries, cakes, and other treats. Everything feels fresh and well prepared.

Another huge plus is the parking. There is plenty of it, making it easy to stop in, grab what you need, and be on your way without any hassle.

“Delicious authentic cuisine. I have been coming here for a year. Servicing seems slower because everything is made homemade right behind the bar. Like it used to be an old diner you watch them cook everything. The food is outrageous. He makes his own avocado chili hot sauce that is to die for.. I’ve been here at least 50 to 100 times and never have had any kind of issue with the food or the service. This is my favorite place.to eat. Despite the mile language barrier, there’s enough English spoken and not have any issues It is so friendly, inviting with delicious food, clean restrooms everything’s clean I can just keep going and rave about this place of how much I want”

“This place is bad. long ques and you cant skip to the food you want. one has to stand in this long line and move as it moves and the food is not even all that and very limited. If you eventually get to the food and the buckets are empty you have to move along otherwise you holding up the line. This must be the worst buffet place in Cape Town and the toilets are disgusting.”

“First time we have eaten at LOTUS and the food was FABULOUS. We started with the Crispy Pork appetizer which overflowed on our plate as well as a delicious bowl of Wonton which contained five delicate dumplings. Our main dish was Lemongrass Lamb Chops which was incredible: subtle taste and cooked to perfection. We added a side dish of green string beans and finished off our meal with Fried Bananas and a serving of chocolate covered mousse. Our waitress was named BELLA and she was full of answers to any questions we asked. The restaurant includes 20% gratuity on their bill, so nothing to think about. The food was so good, we even ordered take-out for later this weekend. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.”
