I love bagel bakery best bagels and breakfast sandwiches around. Today I was disappointed. Since they have hired young staff it’s a problem every time. I sent someone to pick up my order two turkey sausage egg and cheese on French toast bagels as well as regular sausage egg and cheese. Where I use to order they would right what is was. My husband and I don’t eat pork do to religion. So now what I thought was gonna be an easy morning is not. Again great owners and amazing food.
The Monticello bagel bakery has been a staple in town for decades. The bagels are good (not the boiled bagels I grew up with) and they make great sandwiches on those bagels. Most of the time there is a line inside but they do their best to move things along. Sometimes it seems weird because one person should be taking orders and the other staff should prepare them but that is not the way they roll. Who ever takes your order makes your order. Favorite place to go to for my lunch break. Fast service, awesome employees, great food, can't beat the prices. And the st patties day bagels were great. Best NYC breakfast sandwiches in the Sullivan county area. The owner really takes pride in his craft.
