Despite living barely a quarter mile away, we haven't been here more than a couple times. Decided to try again recently and probably will not be back - but it's not because of the food. It's the prices. We each got burgers, fries, and a beer and soda and it was $60 after tax, before tip.

The food was decent - burgers well prepared, not tiny, the fries were good. Service was good. But that price is pretty ridiculous, even for 1/2 lb burgers. I mean... $8 just to upgrade the chips to sweet potato fries? Just way too much, even compared to similar places in the area (and even in Corning, of all places).

Our hungry group of five arrived at Althea’s about 1/2 hour before closing time on a Friday night not realizing the kitchen had closed already. The bartender Rai, who was just sweeping up and getting ready to close, welcomed us in and said we could still order from the fried food selection. We had a whole variety of wings, chicken tenders, onion rings, fried green beans, fried mushrooms and sweet potato fries. All delicious and served with a smile & friendly conversation. We were sooo happy and thankful for Rai!! She went far above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and had everything we needed. Although we did not intend to stay long, we did end up overstaying the closing time by quite a bit, but we were never rushed or made to feel it was a problem. Excellent food, excellent drinks, excellent atmosphere but most importantly, excellent service! Highly recommend!

Everything was so crispy. My sea food basket was actually full of fish and not just breading. The spinach and cashew salad was great and refreshing and the vibes were so chill

Great local place! We stayed at an airbnb for a few days to hike Watkins Glen and it was on the recommended list from the owners. Burger, chicken sandwich and wings were great, reasonable prices.

I had the best burger and local IPA here! Andrew our server was amazing! He was waiting on at least 5 different tables of four or more (and the bar), making all of the drinks, taking the orders and operating the entire restaurant. True rock star and the food was beyond amazing! We travel from Lancaster PA each fall and hands down the best pub food I have ever had (and I only had a beer cheese burger, fries and local IPA), but it was such a great meal, great music, atmosphere and amazing server! Kudos Andrew and thank you! Five stars and I will be back!

We stopped for dinner and unexpectedly had live music during the farmers market that was going on. Food was great! Adam was our server, and made sure we had a great experience. They were busy but service was timely. Would highly recommend stopping. 👌

We lucked into Althea's tonight and had a really excellent meal of the spinach salad, the Buffalo chicken salad, and hot honey wings. The restaurant was full when we arrived but we were seated quickly and our food arrived quickly also. The restaurant was comfortable. There is some outside seating. Easy street parking.

Was in the area with family vacationing. Came to eat dinner on a Saturday night around 6pm in late July with a party of 8. We were going to break up 4 kids (all well behaved girls 13-16) and 4 adults at separate tables. The hostess said they can't do more than 6 people at once. The kids probably would've ordered sodas and tenders and mozzarella sticks nothing fancy. Since they wouldn't seat us (they were not crowded) they didn't get our business but they can keep the review!
