Stopped here on our way through and it was FANTASTIC! First, I’ll start with the service. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. We both had steak and eggs and the quality and cook on the steaks was absolutely perfect. The sirloin steaks we had tasted more like filet mignon and the eggs were super fresh! Not only will I highly recommend this restaurant, but we will certainly be back.

Wonderful staff and food! Always a great place for breakfast while visiting Watkins Glen!

Chef's Gathering is a restaurant with great food and excellent, friendly service. The staff is nice and attentive, going above and beyond with their attitudes and customer service. The service is fast and the waitresses are wonderful. The cook is a funny guy, and the people take pride in their work.
The food is delicious, with great portions and prices. Specific meals include the Country Fried Steak with gravy, described as the best ever, and the Chicken Parm, a favorite that is like Mom used to make. The Patty Melt is off the wall good. The Tony cheeseburger, a grilled cheese inspired burger, is out of this world. They also offer a Cheese burger and fries, a Texas Hot, Chicken and biscuits, and home made pies, all very delish. The salad bar is perfect and clean, kept at the right temperature. They have a nice variety of breakfast items.
The place is always clean and exceptionally clean, with plenty of parking. The new owners are doing great upgrades and freshening up, brightening the place. While not everything is perfect, nothing is bad. Some items, like the Texas Hot dog, can be average and small. There was one noted issue with bones in the Chicken and biscuits. Overall, it is a solid diner experience, fantastic and cheaper than fast food. Customers always look forward to stopping in and will definitely be going back.
