I walked in and asked the woman behind the counter, whom I later learned, is Carolyn, if they made Italian subs. She, of course, said yes, and I proceeded to ask if she had gabagool/capicola. I was so proud I said it right. I revealed to her that this was a new word for me, and we laughed that I said it right. Then I asked it she was going to out Swiss on it and she said, " Swiss?, you were doing so well and the. You had to say Swiss? No, provolone, of course!" And again, we laughed. I noticed that the patrons knew the owner and that he knew them pretty well. This warmed my heart. This is what America should feel like. I don't know much about Mt Kisco, but it felt good. Before I got to pay, Carolyn said next time you have to try some banana peppers or even hot peppers. Then another young lady who worked there said, " Whatever she tells you to eat,just do it, she's never wrong when it comes to food. She got me to eat lettuce, and I hated lettuce!" This was one of the beast sandwiches I'd ever had. Like it was made out of love. I ordered an Italian here, with extra mayo, onions, tomatoes, lettuce, oil and vinegar, salt and pepper, and OMG! Awesome!!! I highly recommend M&R Deli.

Several people at the company I work for order lunch from here all the time so I decided to give it a try. I ordered ahead and was pleasantly surprised In that there were no mistakes. And they were right, the food speaks for itself! Soooo good.

Best old school deli around! My dad and uncle have owned M&R deli for over 40 years! Everything is delicious. From their salads and sandwiches, to the antipasto and hot food. My personal favorites are the Cluckin Russian, pasta salad, marinated eggplant, chicken scarp and chicken cutlets. Can't go wrong here.
