Seating area has shade, but not much elsewhere. Food is somewhat pricey given the fact that it's on the beach. Outdoor bar. You can only drink in the designated areas because of New York State laws. Excellent for laying on the beach and watching sunsets (Note: Long Island North Shore is somewhat rocky).Another side note: Last time I was here the bar area, they had somewhat of a bee issue. Apparently they've discovered that there are sugars and protein to be had, so they come around. No one was stung last I saw.

You pay too much money for tasteless or too salty food..my chicken was so salty..no pineapple to be see..and why call it coconut rice when its just plain brown. Come for drinks and beach but eat first.
The food is overpriced, but it is convenient to have it there and it definitely adds a lot to the lazy, chill summer vibe. Service was a little slow. I will definitely go back, and if I lived there I'm sure I'd go to the outside bar as well.

Beautiful spot to watch the sunset! The sunsets on Cedar Beach never disappoint! There is a full outside sit down bar with delicious cocktails, beer and wine. The food at the restaurant was perfect! The servers were attentive and friendly. Live Music on the weekends. Perfect end to a hectic week!
