Sadly, I didn’t have the 5 star experience everyone else did. Went in for dinner and ordered the beets, corn chowder, smashed burger, and chicken pot pie. The beets were quite tangy — a bit too sour, though still good enough to finish. The corn chowder was the highlight, rich and flavorful. Amazing food, atmosphere, super friendly and kind staff and an wonderful owner. I've been there as a performer and a fan and had great experiences on both sides of the stage. The lodge is beautiful and perfectly set up with all you'll need if you stay over. Can't recommend it all enough. Best bathroom in upstate NY.
Didn't stay there. Three of us had dinner. Was really excellent. We had the panzanella salad with a beautiful pesto dressing, a steak with chimichurri sauce and a veggie burger. All lovely dishes set in a beautiful setting among the pines and mountains. Had a key lime pie for dessert that was a perfect ending to a wonderful dinner. 4.5 out of 5!
