Highly recommended. Owner/Brewer is very creative and it works. I stopped in on a Friday night and treated extremely well. Holiday Stout is fantastic.

I have been to Alternative Medicine Brewing Company twice and had positive experiences. I live in Brooklyn now and come up to see friends and family and I really wish this place was around when I when was living in Fleetwood. They make a very good IPA with Juice Cleanse, their environment is fantastic, they have a super cozy nook and the bathrooms are incredibly clean. Caribbean Soul Food literally hits the spot. Also, the owners and employees are super friendly. Mount Vernon really needs more great small businesses like this and I hope to keep coming back in the future for great beer.

Ok I was there for a private event, but the venue is more than meets the eye. It's a very spacious and clean venue. The bathrooms were immaculate and spacious as well. The sitting area and bar are very well lit. The venue is connected to The Caribbean soul food restaurant ( which I will be visiting very soon. ) I don't drink beer but I saw they have a number of house made and special brews that a lot of folk seemed to be enjoying.AZIZI ( The Barmaid / manager) was very helpful and knowledgeable of alternative drinks preferences and offered a house Apple Bourbon thay was smooth and light. I ended the night right, by scoring a bottle of it for my home indulgence! I will be revisiting this location to find out all its offerings very soon.

I had the pleasure of visiting this brewery. It is definitely a gem in Mount Vernon. It has a great ambiance, lovely workers at the bar. The owner is very knowledgeable and really is passionate about his work and the many delicious inspired brews! They host family friendly great events and are great for a date night. Can't wait to go back!

A terrific, warm and innovative joint--both lively and cozy. We don't get here nearly enough. The beer is superb with the Juice Cleanse and Commander Ryan's Irish Red being 2 of the best I've ever had.

I love coming to Alternative Medicine Brewing Company—and have enjoyed every visit since its opening week. It’s a beautiful space, and I love the gorgeous wood bar (it’s reclaimed) and open layout. The beer is fantastic and clearly imagined and created with a lot of care, thought, and pride. It has been a lot of fun tasting what Jordan and his colleagues have brewed up in the tanks that are visible from the seating area. Jordan and his colleagues are friendly and welcoming—and quick to offer tastes or suggestions so you can get a beer you will love. They have some fun snacks on hand, but also have a great partner restaurant next door—with easy ordering through a hole in the wall (and if soul food and seafood isn’t your fancy, they have a host of menus from other local restaurants or you can order from the delivery app of your choice). Sometimes food trucks park outside AMBC is a great event venue (would be a fun place to rent for private parties) and also hosts fun band, DJ, and trivia evenings. It is a fantastic place to hang out with a group or alone. So much thoughtfulness and whimsy was clearly put into creating this place, and Mount Vernon is lucky to have it. The only real drawback (truly the only bad thing I can say about it) to this fantastic gem that Jordan has created is that it isn’t closer to my home!

Really amazing and varied choice of beers in a beautiful space! This brewery is working to be an entertainment hub of the neighborhood with concerts, local events, and sponsorship of the local rugby team. It’s worth making the trip to Mount Vernon if you don’t already live there!

This hidden gem is right, near public transportation, and their beer concoctions are incredible especially for somebody like myself who has celiac disease. They have a hard seltzer that is so tasty they brew everything on premises. Highly recommend this place.
